Change of the second grade of technical secondary school to the second grade of

Hello. Today I was promoted to the second grade of secondary school, but I am not interested in the current profile and I would like to change it to the second grade of secondary school. Today I was in the office and the lady told me that it was impossible because the law says so and I can only transfer to the first year of high school. I don't want to be a year in the back. As I asked my high school friends, there is practically no difference in the curriculum, or it is small and I could make up for it. Is there anything you can do to transfer to this second grade? A placement test or something? I don't want to waste a year. I could even complete a whole year if needed. I am ready for anything: /

Did you talk to the secretary or someone from the management? Were you alone or with your parent?
If you are not of legal age, you should be with your parent and hit the director right away.
In my opinion, there should be no formal problems with this. Possibly some program differences need to be made up for. Because high school, however, goes faster with the material and may have other extensions.

There may be a problem here that you choose too good a school that has too many students and does not want to accept more students from the technical school.

I am surprised that it took you a year to come to the conclusion that the technical school is not for you. You'd be better off moving in the middle of the year.

Nothing can be done. Your situation is mentioned in § 2 para. 1.point 5 of the ordinance of the Ministry of National Education of August 13, 2015.

There is no other option.

Apparently, it changed here, because I had a few buddies who moved from technical to high school and it was not a problem, but it was a few years ago. It is true that the high school was extramural - studies on Friday evening, Saturday and Sunday. May I ask you what profile of technical school have you chosen?
