12v Motor Driver Left-Right Control: Connection Issues and Solutions for Effective Operation

Hello, I want to do engine control left right. I connected everything as in the picture above, but it doesn't work. What do you have to do to make it work?

Thank you for all the help :)

Draw a decent diagram of how you connected it, because here you can not see anything, and I do not think that it has the right to work.
To control the direction of rotation of the motor, the H bridge is most often used.

Can be seen. There is no right to act - you make a short circuit.
You can use a double switch.

    I don't think I'd better draw it :D
I suspected I was doing a short circuit but I wanted to check. I would like to use max 2 switches.

You make a short circuit, I warned you about the current flow in your circuit after closing one of the switches.

Is it possible that if I buy such a switch the control will work?

This is more reasonable, but you still need a switch that will cut off the power completely.

If it is two-way it will be, but the connection is bad.
Center feed, left / right on the sides of the exit.
And this switch has two positions - On / On. So the engine will run all the time.

So adding to this switch will be good?

As I wrote, the presented switch will change the direction of rotation and for this you need a power switch.

You can also buy a switch that has 3 positions :) .

    I solve the problem.
