    Hello,
I have a problem. Well, in a long Word document (several dozen pages) there is a lot of text written intentionally in white font (so that it cannot be seen).
Can you automatically catch such sentences and replace them with a space or delete them at all, using the "find - replace" function, for example?
    Thank you for the info.

Maybe it could do the following:
Find (or Replace) => More => format => font => and choose the font color that is used in the document as in the picture.

Word - Can you catch and delete text written in a different font color?

I think he can find it, he finds it in my attempts (Word 2007), and I haven't tried removal yet, but I think with the help of a tool Swap he can do it.

    Yes but Robinson74 he wanted

Whether you can automatically catch such sentences and replace them with a space or delete them at all , e.g. using the "find - replace" function?

And such a change will change the font color to uniform throughout the document and there will be a problem finding those again sentences written intentionally in white font
I guess though Robinson 74 it wasn't that, unless I'm wrong, I'm sorry.

As Wojtek wrote, marking everything in black font is out, because in this way I will lose info which text should be removed. In addition, I meant to delete this text automatically, i.e. something like "delete all text written in white font" or "replace all text written in white font for empty sign".
However, I deleted it manually. It lasted over an hour.
    Thank you anyway. :)

Robinson74, I have just tried and removing such text with a different color in a specially crafted document using a tool Swap it's literally 4 clicks (of course without reading what we remove), i.e. we need to be sure what we want to remove. In the "find" box in the tool Swap I chose the font color white and nothing else, I didn't choose anything in the "replace" box, then the button Replace all and "white text" was gone.

    It actually works like that.
I made a mistake and gave the "Special - Any character" option and it probably didn't work the way I wanted.

Added after 12 [hours] 23 [minutes]:

And I have a similar issue.
Again, a long text - a part written in black and a dark blue, which is not sufficiently different from black. Is there a way to change the dark blue text (scattered throughout the document) into red at one go, which clearly differs from black.

you can always get along with HTML editing - a chance that if you make a .doc file from a .doc file and then change it back to doc, then some of the text formatting will split (the best chance of indenting and paragraph spacing) but if you don't come up with another option it should be able to change colors ...

    1. Open a document
    2. save as .... (something that has html in the name)
3.Edit in a notebook or html editor (a program that will show syntax instead of formatted text)
    4. look and you will find ... it will probably be something with content or word color, to tell you the truth - I have no idea how to write it MS word or openOffice , it's best to search for the text you want to modify
colors in HTML are defined as either 6 digits (in hexadecimal: 000000 to FFFFFF) or as English names (yellow, blue black ... etc.) - it is interchangeable and it doesn't matter if you enter 000000 or black to get black, colors from a more sophisticated palette will only be defined as a hexadecimal number
    5. Simply replace the colors you want to change with the values you need and save the file
    6. open html in a word and save it again as doc.

Works the same as before: Utility Swap => Format => Font , cursor in the box find and we choose the color that is written, nothing more. Then the cursor in the box Swap and identically as before, we choose the color we want to change the font color, then replace or replace everything and it is guitar :D :D
Of course, this will work if all these paragraphs with a different color are the same color, because it may be similar that it is like a "dark navy blue", but if they differ something it will find only the identical ones, those "slightly different" will not be taken into account (it depends if the same font color for writing you paragraphs was indicated while writing) it will find only those identical to those indicated for searching.
REMEMBER ONLY: In such cases, always work on copies of documents, or make yourself such an original copy of the document somewhere, especially if they are large documents. If something "went wrong", you always have the original document available, and playing a document that would "break" in the event of a failure could cost a lot of work.

    Slow but works
Use the cursor to highlight the part written in black font (1..2 letters) and start the macro
    Code: text
Log in, to see the code

A macro is also a very nice thing, but somehow I can't create macros from codes, as JRV recommends.
But the way from this description is enough for me:
    http://www.komputerswiat.pl/poradniki/program...kra-w-wordzie-automatyzujemy-nasza-prace.aspx
So we carry out the activities from the description until the cursor turns into a "cassette tape". Then we go to the Word tab Main tools , then we do the following:
"Replace => Format => Font, cursor in the Find column and choose the color as the text is written, nothing more. Then the cursor in the Replace column and identically as before choose the color you want to change the font color, then replace or replace everything "
later View => macro , option Stop logging
And then as in the description in the second point.
Having the icon on the conversion bar occurs after one click, and this macro stays on all the time, if we ever have a document with the same font formatting and we have the desire to replace this formatting with the font that we selected in the macro, all you need is one "click". And if the macro is not needed then we can simply delete it.

Thank you all for these suggestions for solutions. :)

Topic summary

In a discussion about Microsoft Word, users sought solutions for automatically identifying and deleting text written in white font color within a lengthy document. Suggestions included using the "Find - Replace" function with specific font color settings, enabling text highlight colors to reveal hidden text, and utilizing a tool called "Swap" to replace white text with an empty character. Some users recommended changing the font color of the entire document to black, but this was deemed ineffective for retaining the original formatting of the text intended for removal. Additionally, macros were proposed as a method for automating the process of changing text colors, particularly for distinguishing between similar shades. The conversation highlighted the importance of working on document copies to prevent data loss during editing.
