Hello. I am the owner of the LARK TUBE 8a active subwoofer. I commissioned the assembly to the CAR AUDIO specialist company which has a good reputation.
The equipment was connected to the SONY CDX-GT220 radio in the Opel Astra G Twinport 1.4 16V 90km 2005 car. The battery I have has a capacity of 47ah.
The problem is that the Subwoofer stopped working for 2 days, and then it turns on every now and then for 15 minutes, sometimes longer. The indicator on the amplifier is lit all the time after turning on the radio, so I suspect that it is not burned or damaged. The radio works fine all the time without the sub and how it works. The only thing that surprises me is that the power supply is not connected directly to the battery, but under a harness that is under the steering wheel on the left side (near the fuses). I checked the battery with special equipment and it has a voltage of 12V without load. What is the cause of the current condition? Is it an alternator that does not make? Battery? Bad connection? The fitter told me that this equipment does not consume a lot of electricity, but on the other hand, usually this type of equipment plugs directly into the battery. Please help.

I would connect it to the battery. But you wrote that 2 days was ok so you probably wanted to get out of it too much and something broke. Probably a speaker. Take some battery in the trunk and connect the amplifier to the battery with a rather thick cable and you will know everything.
