Hello. I have a brother-in-law's phone who once flooded him. Like everything works, but it has a glitch about the topic of the thread. I think the battery is to blame, but who knows. . . The problem is that if the phone is under the charger, it works normally, but if I disconnect from the charger and the screen goes blank (not every time), the phone turns off. Sometimes it happens that with 100% battery, after switching it on again it is suddenly about 30% (that's why I type the battery). A question for you: has anyone ever encountered something like this, or how to diagnose what is the problem? I will only add that I have already ordered a new battery, but I do not have it yet. I did wipe and updates, so I exclude soft.

Start by replacing the battery. Was the telephone cleaned and dried after flooding? Because if you don't then you need to additionally look for the reason on the disc.

From what I know it was "sun-dried". But he wasn't undressed. If I have batteries, I will look at the disc straight away. Are you suggesting that there may be some residue that short circuits or something has broken?

Something may be damaged, especially since the phone was dried only in the sun. There may be liquid residue inside and the phone should not be charged or used.

I changed the battery, but it changed nothing. After a while, the phone went out again and you had to turn it on again. However, I noticed that in addition to the fact that the phone works perfectly well when it is connected to the charger, as in the display settings I changed the sleep mode so that the display was on all the time, the phone also worked normally. Traces of flooding with the naked eye can not be seen, so it's hard to say, but probably something went on the record. Now the question is whether it is fixable and profitable, or is it better to replace the disc? (I doubt that this site will be repaired in my city)

How good service should deal with the fact that with phones after flooding it is different.

Today I picked up the phone, I paid PLN 50 for "cleaning after flooding", the phone still does not work, the fault as it was, yes. I will give them again, we will see what they say.

PS I am playing with the phone now and I noticed that the phone does not turn off, but can not wake up when the screen is locked. I installed the Always on amolled application, turned it on and now as I blank the screen (with the application turned on), after a while the clock appears and I can wake it up with a double click. However, when I turn off the application, I have a problem like before - after locking the screen, it does not wake up - you need to restart it.

Rather subject to close. The service has resulted in the phone not starting now. I paid 50 PLN for "repair" and now I am looking for a motherboard. . .

The user suspects the battery might be the cause, as the phone operates normally when connected to a charger but fails to wake up when disconnected. Responses suggest that the phone may have internal damage due to inadequate drying after the flooding, and that liquid residue could be causing short circuits. The user replaced the battery, but the problem persisted. They noted that using an application allowed the phone to wake up, indicating a potential software or hardware issue.
