Hi. I have already read a lot of threads about flooded phones and I only get nervous when I see that someone's entire phone fell into the water and works and mine had a few drops and does not give a sign of life. To the point..

While riding a bike, a downpour caught me, the phone was hidden in the backpack but the backpack was soaking wet. At home, I pulled out my phone and wrote an SMS. I didn't even notice it was flooded. It started to turn on applications and settings by itself. Go crazy. So I turned it off and pulled it out of the rubber case. There were a few drops of water in the case. The phone hasn't rung up until now. I threw it into rice (although I read that it's a myth - a drowning man grabs a razor). I pulled out the SIM card and memory card (they were wet). He lay there for two days and nothing.
I found on the internet how to open it and did so. I noticed a slight white deposit in the places marked in the photo. I cleaned it with a brush soaked in isopropanol and still nothing.

The only reaction is when you connect the charger, the red LED flashes and nothing else. The phone does not start up. The computer does not detect it.
Is there anything else I can do besides getting it serviced?

I mean, should I clean it again with isopropanol? What does the flashing red LED mean? Padel battery and I need to replace it with a new one?

    First check the battery voltage.
The best way to clean the phone is in an ultrasonic bath with isopropanol.

I took out the entire plate and cleaned it thoroughly with isopropanol. I connected to the charging process, the red diode stopped flashing, it started to glow continuously after some time it turned orange. Glad that the phone has already had a little charge, I tried to turn it on and the zero answer LED goes out for a moment, I wonder if my display has fallen. Can this be checked somehow?

After connecting to the computer, auto-play starts, but because the phone is turned off, I cannot agree to access the phone.

Is there anything else I can do?

If you don't have such a lcd to substitute and make sure it will be hard. But if after turning on the computer detects it, it means that the disc is booting. I suspect damage to the display. Check the lcd connector on the board and on the tape. The elements next to the connector are not flooded, broken or damaged?

In fact, the phone started and charged. It was the fault of the damaged display. I bought the display on the Allegro and replaced it. Although the matter was not easy because everything was glued (battery, display). The phone works after installing the new display.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around a Huawei P9 Lite that was exposed to water during a bike ride, leading to malfunctioning issues. The user initially attempted to dry the phone using the rice method, despite skepticism about its effectiveness. After noticing erratic behavior, the user disassembled the phone and cleaned it with isopropanol, which improved the situation but did not fully resolve it. Subsequent troubleshooting revealed a damaged display, which was confirmed when the phone began charging but failed to turn on. The user successfully replaced the display, restoring the phone's functionality.
