Hello my old laptop has Win 8 updated to Win 10 and I don't need it anymore.
I wanted to ask if I can transfer the license (key) to my new computer and activate it there?
    Please help!

No. This is the OEM version, i.e. only for use on this particular copy.

If the base system, here: Windows 8, from which the free upgrade to Windows 10 was made, was pre-installed, then the license for such a system cannot be migrated to other equipment. This is not only the result of Microsoft's official position - references to it are available on the Microsoft Community forum - but they can be read directly from the license (by comparing the provisions in point 4 (a) and (b)).

And if I said that for example the motherboard has damaged me, then I could activate on a new computer?

You can say and do what you want, but the license will not change.

You asked "can you" and got the answer that you didn't. You want to put it together, please do it on your own. Without involving electrode users.

If this is the OEM version of Windows, this is not possible. If the BOX is subject to removal from the old computer, you can transfer the license.

Give yourself such pages. Purchase a key on the Microsoft website.

Go to Microsoft's website and see how long the keys work. The system may and will be original, but this does not mean that it will be legal to omit the quetia, that this key may stop working at any time.

I bought the system on the Microsoft website, subject to close

Topic summary

Transferring a Windows 10 license key from an old laptop to a new computer is generally not permitted if the license is an OEM version, which is tied to the original hardware. The upgrade from Windows 8 to Windows 10 does not change this restriction. Users can only transfer licenses if they possess a retail version (BOX) of Windows. Concerns about the legality of purchasing Windows keys from third-party sites were raised, with recommendations to buy directly from Microsoft to ensure authenticity and legality.
