Hello, for some time my son's car has a problem with driving one way. At the beginning, it happened that the car, after prolonged use, did not want to go forward, unfortunately now the problem appears after a while of driving. You have to turn off the toy and in a moment it works properly again for a short time.
I turned the cube in the forward / stop / rear switch and changed the plugs from the left engine to the right one and now the car goes forward and backwards only sometimes. The gas in the car is just a contact, it works or not, no adjustment whatsoever, no slow start. After pressing the gas, you hear a characteristic click, but the car is not moving. The same problem occurs with remote control. Below are photos of the control system. Will it help to replace any of the elements or do you need the entire system?

Relay contacts burned out to 90%.

    Hello .
In these vehicles, most often driving is carried out with relays (maybe I'm wrong in this case). Check the operation of the relays, whether they are chirping, then their executive contacts. engine.

Well, the point is that the relays are ticking, you can hear a click after closing the circuit with "gas", sometimes the car will drive, sometimes it only jerks and stands, and sometimes only cycles and nothing.

From the printed side, the board looks like this:

Relays are pennies. Replace them with what they are or recommend some others that will also fit. I will add that the problem has increased after replacing the battery with one with a larger capacity, but I do not know if it has any effect on the system because the voltage is the same.

If you find those that will match the spacing and will be for larger currents, you can replace the important ones that have the same pins

Okay, I'm looking for transmitters, exchange and see what happens.

Before you start looking for relays, remove (split) the casing, check the contacts, cleaning helps.

Maybe cleaning only helps the question for how long, if the contacts are burnt, is there any sense in saving a few zlotys, these relays do not break easily.

I haven't found a relay with exactly the same parameters, but there is something very similar, will it do the trick:

And another question, would this module fit this car and will it have a free start?

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around a battery-operated car experiencing intermittent driving issues, specifically with the forward/stop/rear switch and gas control. The user reports that the car sometimes fails to move forward or backward, requiring a restart to temporarily resolve the issue. Suggestions include checking and potentially replacing relays, as they may be burnt out or malfunctioning. The user also considers cleaning the contacts and replacing the battery with a higher capacity one, which may have affected the system. Recommendations for relay replacements and a query about a compatible remote control module with a smooth start function are also discussed.
