    Hi,
I have a problem with starting the servo drive with MDX61B, after turning it on in the manual rotation mode, the motor starts but stops after a fraction of a second and the inverter throws the F08 "Speed Monitoring" error (the motor works without any load). Both the motor and the cables are SEW.

I tried various configurations, replaced inverters and cables, and the encoder card. Configure the inverter with the movitools, using the electronic name plate. I tried to change the parameters, the only thing I managed to achieve is after increasing the time in the 501 delay time parameter, the engine turns a little longer, and when I change the parameter 500 speed monitoring to the Motor mode from the default Motor / Regenerative mode, the engine turns but I cannot adjust the speed and the speedometer in manual mode it shows the maximum RPM even though the set speed is much lower. According to scop, just before the F08 error is thrown, the engine is at 6500 rpm where the engine has a maximum of 3000 rpm.

The servo-drive has an absolute encoder, when I turn the shaft by hand one turn in parameter 3 actual position, the value changes by about 4000 so the encoder works ok.

Someone has had a similar problem or has an idea how to figure it out?

I do not know this type, but is the direction of rotation of the encoder correct?

Yes, the direction of rotation is correct

Please provide the exact type of MDX along with the type of encoder card, the exact type of motor, preferably photos, project with movitools and the way of connecting the whole thing. And what about the brake?

You must connect the motor windings to the inverter correctly (in the correct order). You have three "phase" wires in the motor connector. Keep moving until you hit (you need to check all possible combinations).

    Best regards.

I connected another inverter from scratch and it worked :D . I checked all the connection combinations and it threw F08 on each. Thanks to everyone for the answers

    Yes to posterity:
In history I have already configured "several" SEW inverters of different types. I know from experience that the inverter does not have to have factory settings immediately after purchase and when trying to configure it at different levels, flowers may appear with which it is not even worth fighting (as in the described case - everything is configured correctly and still does not work).
So, good morning: parameter 802 and the "Delivery state" option :D

Indeed, it now works on that inverter too, thanks for the advice :D

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around an issue with the SEW Movidrive MDX61B servo drive, where the motor stops shortly after starting in manual rotation mode, triggering an F08 "Speed Monitoring" error despite the motor being unloaded. The user attempted various configurations, including replacing inverters, cables, and the encoder card, and adjusting parameters using Movitools. Suggestions from other users included verifying the correct connection of motor windings, checking the encoder direction, and ensuring the inverter's factory settings were properly configured. Ultimately, the user resolved the issue by connecting a different inverter and adjusting parameter settings, confirming that the problem was related to the initial inverter configuration.
