The Electrolux ESL 67070R dishwasher does not heat or dry water. I checked the control module - it looks like new. I want to get to the flow heater. I have a question whether this dishwasher should be laid on the back or on the side (which). Can I expect water leaks from lying on my back or side? Photos from the network show that the flow heater is at the back - do I have to remove the back cover?

Hello! If there is no such practice, I called you a mechanic in your place. It may be an electric shock. Welcome to varga jános

You can lay on your back and underneath there should be a cover. If it is unscrew, remove it and you will get to the heater. Leak probably will be some but minimal.

I took out the old flow heater and measured the resistance - 26? - it looks OK. I took out and cleaned the thermostat. After switching on for a short 30-minute program, it started to heat again. Today I will check on longer programs. Could cleaning the thermostat alone help? There was some slime on it. How will the thermostat not be replaced on longer programs? As I wrote before, I checked the control module and the heater.

Electrolux ESL 67070R dishwasher - does not heat water or dry it
Hello! If a problem occurs, the client will disable (protection). If the check is good, it means the error code is wrong. Varga János

How do you enter this service procedure to read these error codes? How to reset error memory.

Currently on the 5 (1h) program heats the water because after the dishes are hot but there is no drying cycle with air alone and there is no characteristic steam after opening. The program ends 10 minutes ahead of time. Dishes are hot but wet. In program 3 (30 min) once it dries and once it doesn't. Most often it does not dry and dishes are cold and wet. Mostly dries as I pull out and clean the NTC.

Would that suggest a damaged NTC sensor?

    Hello
If it heats on a short program and not on others, then the tacho coil is suspicious.
Read the errors, if the error "id0" appears, then you have a damaged tacho coil.
Topic raised in the forum many times.

And how to read the errors in this dishwasher? Confidently hold some keys when turning on but I can't find which ones. In this dishwasher the display has only two digits so reading this error as in the post above only I do not know how to enter the error reading mode.

Ok, I found how to enter the service mode. I read the error codes: id0, id1 and id0 again. So it looks like a tacho. Somewhere I found that the tacho is completely together with the washing pump and can not be bought and replaced separately. The cost of a new pump is PLN 350, which means that it is probably no longer worth replacing it. The dishwasher is 7 years old. I will search the forum if I can do something cheaper with it. Thanks for the help.

Okay, I searched the forum. As new forces enter me, I will check the cables between the tacho and the control module. For me, tacho is on such a pump:

Does anyone have experience with the replacement of tacho in such a pump and can give what tacho available to buy fits it?
Is the non-contacting wire between the tacho and the module a common case? What's the easiest way to find out which tacho beam is next to the module?

Tacho coil replaced. The pump can be removed through the right side without unscrewing the entire bottom. I put the dishwasher on my back and removed the bottom cover to loosen the tourniquet. The pump must be pulled out of the black rubber, with which it is attached to the bottom and can be removed sideways.

The tacho coil can be changed without any problem - you don't even have to open anything in the pump. It is pressed on the terminals. If you insist, you can try to replace the tacho coil without removing the pump. You just have to make some "lockpicks" to straighten the coil clamps to remove them from the ankle.

The original coil had 230? (it had to short after heating up), the new one (in the description dedicated to AEG and Electrolux dishwashers) 90?, but it works.

Topic summary

The Electrolux ESL 67070R dishwasher is experiencing issues with heating water and drying dishes. The user has inspected the control module and is attempting to access the flow heater, questioning whether to lay the unit on its back or side, and concerns about potential water leaks. Responses suggest laying it on its back to access the heater cover, with minimal leakage expected. The user later reports that after cleaning the thermostat, the dishwasher began to heat again during short cycles but still struggles with drying. Further diagnostics revealed error codes indicating a possible issue with the tacho coil, which is integrated with the washing pump. The user found a way to enter service mode to read error codes and confirmed the need to replace the tacho coil, which can be done without fully disassembling the pump. The user successfully replaced the tacho coil and noted the original coil had shorted after heating.
