Hello, recently my Astra has started to consume quite a lot of engine oil (approx. 1.2 l for approx. 2,000 km) and it seems to me that there is a little dripping. Regarding dripping, I will try to take a selfie tomorrow with a baton of the girl to take some photos and put them here. But apart from dripping to my father, it seems that something is bad pulling air into the engine. He came to this conclusion when with the engine running he pulled out the oil meter and this hole began to draw in a lot of air, and as soon as we put the oil meter back in, the speed immediately dropped. This is normal, but is there something wrong with the ventilation of the engine?

If this is the model of the engine, what do I think and the description of the defect shows that yes there is a valve in the valve cover that releases pressure from the crankcase to the intake manifold.
You have a faulty valve, unfortunately I have not encountered any valve repertoire, so the only way out is to replace the entire cover (it can be used).

Does this valve have a specific name? I want to see how much such a thing costs on the Allegro and where exactly this thing is in the car

But what will you exchange for crap if you do not know what is broken and whether at all.
Secondly, if you eat so much oil, it is an engine to be renovated.

Nothing to mention myself I certainly won't want to just ask the mechanic to start with checking what you are talking about.
And are you sure the engine to be repaired? Is there any hope that it can be fixed at a low cost?

First of all, the engine must not leak.
Can you imagine these puddles of oil under the car?

Secondly, what bothers you that he is taking oil, is 10,000,000 more mounds.

And it turned out that you can already get something https://allegro.pl/listing?string=Pok covered%20zawor%C3%B3w%20silnika%20OPEL%20Z16XEP%20ASTRA&description=1&order=pd&bmatch=base-relevance-floki-5-nga -aut-1-5-0511.
In the photo I marked this valve, but when undressing it happens that the plastic from old age breaks.
Running the engine in this condition can lead to the destruction of the sealants, but to be sure, disconnect the tube from this valve and plug it so that the engine works at low speed, if you remove the dipstick normally then you are at home.
Such high oil consumption is most likely caused by the fact that the vacuum from the intake manifold sucks the oil mist from under the valve cover.
Opel Astra H1.6 105km - Oil Consumption, Engine Ventilation, and Potential Leakage

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around an Opel Astra H1.6 experiencing significant engine oil consumption (approximately 1.2 liters per 2,000 km) and potential oil leakage. Users suggest that a faulty valve in the valve cover, responsible for releasing crankcase pressure to the intake manifold, may be the cause. Recommendations include checking the valve's condition and considering replacement if necessary. Concerns are raised about the engine's overall health, with suggestions that high oil consumption could indicate a need for engine renovation. Users also discuss the importance of ensuring no oil leaks are present under the vehicle and the potential for vacuum issues drawing oil mist from the valve cover.
