Hello. I am a freshman here and I do not quite know how to navigate the portal and I have quite a burning matter ... Can anyone describe, step by step, have photos or a video, anything how to remove the steering lock in Laguna II 1.9dci 2004? For the hell, I don't know how to go about this contraption ...

Ps. Should the lock itself move on the column? I am asking because mine is moving front - back within 0.5-1 cm. Is this a normal phenomenon?

Best regards and thank you in advance for any advice

First of all, it should be unlocked because the screw will not come out. Remember that left thread.

In fact, it is unlocked, i.e. it sounds as if it was frozen halfway between fully extended and fully retracted. Generally, the steering wheel ticks on every groove on the column when turning. Where is that left screw, in the sense where?

Why do you want to replace it? You know that the second one must be clean or you have to solder the memory of the current one.

Yes, I know it must be clean. I want to replace it because it is the reason for not starting the car. The problem is that I have no idea how to go about it ...

Hmmm and she's blocked all the time or something. You know that when it is locked, it will be a problem to unscrew the screw

Just today I found a little more time and started this contraption. To be honest, I had no idea whether it was blocked or not, although when turning the steering wheel - which was possible - there was a "chirping" from the lock, as if the lock pin was clearly "halfway" and caught on the keyways in the steering column. I got to the screw, which is not easy for a 2 meter person :) and remembering that it has a left-hand thread I unscrewed it. But ... Well, exactly but ... after unscrewing about 1-1.5 cm, the screw still does not go. He wiggles in place: / I have no idea how to get France out of here ...

I don't want to mislead you, but I think a hammer and a good flat screwdriver to hit and go. The screw will probably be spinning in place. Let someone say something if he has a different idea

Damn, even there is not enough with a hammer: / Unless you mean breaking the plastic housing ...

I don't comment on this anymore, maybe someone has a different idea. The black case is just a plastic case
