Hello. Since yesterday I have a problem with the central lock of my car. Well, suddenly the central locking stopped working. Neither the first nor the second key responds in the slightest to the buttons. I can neither open / close the door nor the boot. Thread. The keys are dead. When manually opened from the door key, the central works. I start the car normally. A few days earlier the front passenger door lock broke. They do not lock automatically. Like the central locking works and you can hear the lock surprising but do not close automatically. I suspect that the cable fell from the mechanism. But about 2 weeks later the central stopped working. I checked fuses, there is electricity everywhere. Like everything sounds from the electric side but the key does not react completely. Any ideas? Thanks for the help in advance.

First remotes for tester, then computer and car diagnostics.

From tomorrow I will date a BMW magician with a laptop. Will Delphi diagnose a central problem or just an imp? I also thought that the key may have fallen but it is not possible that both keys suddenly fall one day. I would have to be unlucky. Anyway, thanks for the answer

Delphi is unlikely to detect. Probably defective antenna module. BMW standard.

Hello, problem solved. The culprit, as it turned out, was a broken wire in the right harness (passenger side) going to the tailgate. As I stripped everything, it turned out that many cables in the right and left bundles are already with "broken" insulation, literally copper on top. It is a matter of time as if short circuits began to do and this would burn the diversity module. A second fault with the passenger door is also resolved. It turned out that the lock was already made and should be replaced. I bought a repair kit but to take this lock apart, you should have a well-stocked workshop. Unfortunately, I do not have one that's why I used a used zipper. Cost PLN 200, work around 40 minutes. Best regards and thank you for your help and suggestions.

So for the future, you won't be able to diagnose the diversity module with a computer in 100% because this module is just a signal amplifier and its fault is not displayed. Only by excluding other faults (by resetting error codes and waiting for specific error codes to reappear) can you guess that it is specifically about diversity.

If you have a similar case like mine, before you spend 300-500 PLN (stimulant), 1500+ PLN new ASO, take apart the flap and look carefully at the wiring. 99% of cases are cracked insulation, shorted wires or already completely worn wires in the left and right bundles. Short circuits lead to failure of the diversity modules. However, it is often the case that the module is functional and only the damper wiring condition is responsible for the failure. All you need is some time, a soldering iron, a piece of wire and insulating tape and angelic patience ...
    Good luck
