    Hello
I've already added such a topic, but because of the trees I had to mount the antenna somewhere else. The case looks as follows: I made a makeshift handle, unfortunately the handle has a small deviation (it has more than 90 degrees, has about 95). Is this deviation important? Perhaps this can be reduced by the elevation angle? Trying to set up the Cyfrowy Polsat antenna failed to set the quality, I will add that the "hand" (not screwed antenna) for a moment was quality. The decoder is operational, I was in the NC + salon there was a strength of 90% quality 100%. Interestingly, a small antenna nc + "grid" (with holes) managed to set the quality 40% more did not go. Even more interesting is the way of searching for a satellite, the decoder with a small monitor stands on the fireplace (the antenna is mounted on the fireplace holder). It is also worth mentioning that there is a tree in the radius of the antenna (attachment, yellow line is more of the center in which the antenna is directed).

    It's even more interesting

There is nothing interesting here, nothing but bullshit, including this photo.
No idea, there is a hardware installer.

I tried to set the NC + antenna myself. It ended up with a visitor arriving with the appropriate gauge and set up a "plate". I paid 50 zlotys. My "nerves" are priceless :-)

I would like to note that the topic does not have only one question. Is the handle important? In addition, I will not pay that I will screw the handle ...

And you think that who's here, like you? Everything is to be vertical.

@telper but you helped. Please note that some NC + decoders without a signal will not pass the activation board and the channel can not be changed.

This is the subject: NC + - Trying to self-align the antenna, strength 70% quality

    Quote:
Trying to set the Cyfrowy Polsat antenna

The decoder is working, I was in the NC + salon there was a strength of 90% quality 100%.

Read with understanding because you can not read.

What a telex colleague suggested could have been used in analogue tuners. With digital it is so that one should wait for the appearance of the image. So you can set the whole day and you will still be at the back ;-) Without a meter it will not work.

Install the SatFinderPro program on your smartphone, for example.
With his help, you set up all the angles of the antenna and direct it in the right direction.
With it's help I quickly set and signal strength 80% signal quality 70%.

Setting the antenna alone was too difficult, 2 hours I tried and nothing. Finally, I called a professional.

Topic summary

✨ The discussion revolves around the challenges of self-installing an NC+ satellite antenna, particularly in relation to the antenna's mounting angle and signal quality. The original poster faced difficulties due to a makeshift handle with a 95-degree deviation and nearby trees obstructing the signal. Responses suggest that while minor deviations may not significantly impact performance, a properly secured mount is crucial. Users recommend using a beeper function on the decoder for easier alignment and suggest utilizing smartphone apps like SatFinderPro for optimal setup. Some participants emphasize the importance of professional installation for best results, especially when self-setup proves too challenging.

FAQ

TL;DR: One user hit 80% strength/70% quality using a phone app; another expert said, "With its help, I quickly set…" Set a rigid mount, clear line‑of‑sight, and use your NC+ beeper for Hot Bird. [Elektroda, pawcio1979, post #16635718] Why it matters: This FAQ helps DIYers fix “strength high, quality zero” when aligning NC+/Cyfrowy Polsat satellite dishes at home, fast.

Quick Facts

Does a slightly tilted antenna mast matter?

Yes. Keep the mount rigid; you can offset small tilt while setting azimuth, elevation, and LNB skew. Massive tilt is problematic. [Elektroda, 2426530, post #16630572]

Can I align an NC+ dish without a dedicated meter?

You can try, but an installer meter saves time and frustration. As one expert put it, “Without a meter it will not work.” [Elektroda, maurycy123, post #16631706]

Quick DIY: How do I use the NC+ beeper to find Hot Bird?

Enable the antenna beeper in the receiver’s installation menu and listen through an open window.
  1. Turn on TV/receiver; enable beeper.
  2. Slowly sweep azimuth and elevation until beeps accelerate.
  3. Fine‑tune left/right, up/down, then set LNB skew. [Elektroda, 2426530, post #16633964]

Why can’t I change channels during setup on my NC+ box?

Certain NC+ decoders need a valid signal to pass activation; without it, channel changes may be blocked. [Elektroda, andpol 33, post #16630851]

Should I power‑cycle the decoder before trying again?

Yes. Disconnect power briefly, reboot, then attempt alignment without changing channels to keep the signal page active. [Elektroda, 2426530, post #16630572]

My wall bracket is around 95°. Can I compensate with elevation?

Usually yes if the mount is rigid and the tilt isn’t extreme. Re‑set elevation and skew during fine‑tuning. [Elektroda, 2426530, post #16630572]
