Hello, I made BSEL Moda on my quad q6600. My motherboard is Intel Dg35EC. The problem after the modification is that the speed jumps from overclocked (around 2982 MHz) to the previous one (around 1988 MHz). I have the latest Bios. I made the modifications by covering one pin on the right side of the processor. What can cause these jumps? The temperature is ok, under a load of 60-70 degrees. I will add that as the speed drops (multipliers drop from x9 to x6), the voltage drops slightly (from over 1 to about 0.98)

As if someone did not know what this modification is - I give the link to the source: https://linustechtips.com/main/topic/767799-how-to-lga-775-bsel-mod-overclocking-with-tape/

This is normal, energy saving mechanisms are working. Load the processor and check the timing.

Thanks, you were right. This is a question, can you somehow set that the processor always runs at high speed?
The problem is that e.g. when watching streams on twitch.tv, sometimes when the speed drops, the stream starts to cut terribly for a few seconds

Maybe it cuts from another problem (e.g. buffer ends). To make the processor run at full speed all the time, turn off the BIOS C1E and EIST.

I gave it up because it was unstable.
