    Dear Sir or Madam,
I have a problem with formatting the external disk in such a way that the PS4 can see it and I can play movies from it.
I tried to format it in many different ways but the "Multimedia" application only sees a strange name that has nothing.
Is the 1TB drive compatible with PS4 at all?
I will add that I have no problem with PenDriv 16GB - it is formatted in ExFAT and works properly.
I will be grateful for your help.

The disk will be visible but you should format the disk to exfat format, in fat32 you will not upload a file larger than 4GB and PS4 will not read NTFS format

Download from the network, for example, USB Format Tool and in this program format the disk to exfat format, it may help by the way strange that you can upload large files to a pendrive and not to the disk ...

After formatting, what file system does this disk have?

And this type of program but on MacOS?
Maybe the penrive size (16 GB) and disk size (1TB) play a role - maybe PS4 does not support such large disks?

There is information on the PS website that it supports up to 8TB max

On MacOS I don't know because I don't have one, search the internet
