I have an external 4tb hdd. The drive is mechanically working but I cannot access anything on it. It just freezes my pc. I have tried EaseUS DR but it cannot pull up the drive. The drive shows up in explorer but any attempt to access it crashes the pc, I've tried using cmd to access it and it just locks up. I've removed the drive from its casing and have been using a dock to try and access it in case it was a hardware error from that POV. I'm running a windows 10 system. The problem presented itself initially as a permissions problem but now it doesn't even allow me to access it to see if the permissions are somehow blocking me. Can anyone offer advice?

Enter the disk model. Is it seen by the BIOS? If you are able to pull the drive out of the case and connect via SATA, check how is it recognized by MHDD? Describe the exact computer failure you mention, because it is a very imprecise term.
