    Greet,
I have an interesting problem with the Audi Chorus II radio. I got the receiver as functional together with a few other lumber. I immediately came up with the idea to mount it in my Octavia 1. First, however, I decided to check whether the radio is definitely functional.

Below is a picture of my "clever" connection:

The first thing I noticed was the lack of a division between the radio and the power cable. After the above connection, the radio displays the word "SAFE", then "RDS + SCAN", enter the code, confirm again "RDS + SCAN" and the device literally shows the normal values on the screen for half a second (current tuning, etc.) and then turns off.

The radio is tested on a table with a small gel battery. Question - is this supposed to be?
I didn't have much contact with Car-Audio but rather with simple 1-DIN players, that's why I ask. To liven up this particular model, do you need to pull the weight or power somewhere else? Or maybe the radio is smart and on the power cable it checks the voltage in the system (VCC> 14V - I work, VCC

I bet on the battery's low current efficiency. Power supply is only a plus and minus, backlight and kl 15 is on the k line.

The player after connecting to a stabilized power supply 12V @ 3.5A as well as through a step-up converter (14.4V@2A) shows the same symptoms as with a gel battery.

Do you connect the radio via ankle or plugs? These radios have a switch in the ISO socket, and it can cause this behavior.

This looks like typical damage to the Audi Concert II. After entering and confirming the code it resets. Apparently the processor is guilty - but I know the person who gave the processor a test and it didn't help either.
The radio has only one plus connected because the rest of the information reaches it via CAN bus (also information about turning on the ignition).

III friend fabi scoops the main prize! The radio has started and will not turn off immediately after unlocking. Thank you so much for help!

It's time to stock up on ISO cubes and start having fun with reworking the backlight.

    Regards!
