    Hello
I got a vu duo2 decoder to "revive" today. His story is unknown to me and there is little chance of finding out, but I know that he didn't get up after uploading OpenAtv.

Apparently, something was wrong with the HDMI so I connected it with a scart.

Nothing happens. In the middle display, the name of a program and that's it. In this display on the left -picon.
It does not respond to the remote control.
Total necrosis. When you try to upload an image from the Vu + website - like something is happening, it asks you to press power, and when I press it, it returns to the same channel after a while as if nothing has been uploaded.
Apparently, you can clean flash via the RS 232 and HP port, but I have not found a description for vu duo2.
I am asking for tips - maybe someone has already had such a problem

Are you 100% sure it's not a clone ?? Each upload of the original software to the clone ends with "ucegleniem". Maybe someone uploaded an image from Duo instead of Duo2? Check other FAT32 formatted pendrives, have you uploaded the latest bootloader?
Look for vu + duo2 brick

Tuner bought in a Polish satellite TV store and probably not a clone.
Of course, after the guarantee. I found a "new" bootloader, I used the upload procedure described in readme, i.e. normally as image is uploaded. Apparently something is happening on the display, but the word "reboot" does not appear, only the tuner starts and stays on the same channel as before.
I think you need to find and use the flash cleaning procedure.
I have already revived many decoders, including Dreamboxes that are very easy to release.
But there are appropriate programs for resuscitation and you can set everything up again.
However, I have not found such materials for this model.
What's up with vu + duo2 brick? Uncle Google doesn't really want to talk about it.

    Defective capacitors?
It is possible. Here on the forum is a topic from a user who asked about the markings of smd capacitors.
    Only which one ...
I used to have a vu duo of the first version. There, in turn, the bane of users of this equipment was the "red LED"
But the remedy for that was the replacement of three electrolytic capacitors and the tuner was coming back to life :)
And in this model, silence on the forums. Was nothing wrong with it?

It's a joke, of course, because almost anything can go wrong.

Here the man describes how he replaced all "low quality" capacitors and then the tuner "got up" and gained additional temperature reduction.
A bit too much VU has problems with these capacitors.

At the beginning, I suggest checking the power supply circuit to see if it gives the correct voltage.
Of course, your internal drive is disconnected.

Since I am prompted to write whether the problem has been solved, I inform that I sent it for "loss" to a repair shop and got rid of the problem.
