Hello. I would like to replace the graphics card in my laptop with one that would allow me to play relatively good games from a few years ago. I do not want expensive cards because it is not profitable to invest a lot of money in this laptop. I want the most budget-friendly solution possible.
I was thinking about a budget of about PLN 350, if it is too low, please provide a minimum reasonable budget.

    Lenovo G510 i3-4000M / 4GB / 1000GB / R5 M230

Processor: Intel Core i3-4000M (2 cores, 2.40 GHz, 3 MB cache)
    Chipset: Intel HM86
    RAM memory: 4GB (SO-DIMM DDR3, 1600 MHz)
Hard disk: 1000 GB SATA 5400 rpm
Graphics: Intel HD Graphics 4600 + AMD Radeon R5 M230
    System: Windows 7

Thanks in advance for your advice.

I don't quite agree with that. It can be assumed that 95% is impossible. So, however, it is possible, but not in everyone ;-)

In conclusion, in this laptop that the author writes about, it is impossible. And even if there is such an option, it is often unprofitable.

If you wrote that "this" laptop is impossible, I would not write anything. But you wrote:

I know it was a "mental shortcut". But the author did not get a precise answer. There was no "in this".
But you know what's going on ;-)

In newer ones it is also, but in those already from the higher shelf, e.g. MSI GT72 ... End of OT because soon some mod will fall here ;)

Topic summary

The discussion centers around the feasibility of replacing the graphics card in a Lenovo G510 laptop equipped with an Intel Core i3-4000M processor and an AMD Radeon R5 M230. Several participants assert that replacing the graphics card is generally impossible due to the GPU being soldered to the motherboard, making any potential upgrade unprofitable. While some suggest that it might be technically possible in rare cases, the consensus is that the cost of re-soldering or replacing components outweighs the benefits, especially for budget-conscious users. The original poster seeks a budget-friendly solution for gaming but is advised that significant upgrades are not feasible for this model.
