    Hello.

    A short and simple question, I'm about to replace the processor.
    Lenovo G580 laptop.
    Replacement for processor: Intel i5-430M socet PGA988 / G1
    I checked the stand and it agrees, I checked the TDP and it is the same, which means that I can confidently order it?
    Do I need to know anything else?

    Thank you in advance for your help and have a nice evening. :)

    These models usually have i3-3120M or Intel B960

    This model of the i3-3120M processor is more efficient than the i5-430M and comparable with the performance of the B960 so I do not know why you want to replace them.

    The processor stand is one and the chipset is the other. Provide the chipset to be sure

    Various processors were installed in these laptops:

    Anyway, the first generation I5 will definitely not fit.
    HM75 or HM76 chipset according to the service manual.

    Lenovo G580 15.6 inch laptop - Blue (Intel Celeron B820 1.7GHz, 6Gb RAM, 750Gb HDD, DVDRW, LAN, WLAN, Webcam, Integrated Graphics, Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit)

    Exactly this laptop, some Celeron single-core processor, so it breaks down.

    And what is the name of this site where is the compatibility of processors?

    2 questions in that case what processor do you recommend for this configuration?

    Will every processor listed on this page that has a TDP equal to the current processor be functional?

    Celeron B820 1.7Ghz / TDP = 35W it dual-core , but the weakest in this Sandy Bridge series
    * graphics should be GF610M (64-bit) * or similar
    - HM76 chipset Link_ list of compatible 3th generation CPUs
    * probably can be inserted from the Core i3 / i5 / i7 series (2xxxM)
    Pentium 2020M or i3 2348M / i3 3120M / i5 3230M /

    ( ' :!: ')
    Use Aida 64, read the disc and chipset data and enter.

    Or enter number> e.g.

    Most processors from the table that I have inserted should work. You may need a BIOS update, although the HM7x series chipsets were designed for 3rd generation processors, so they should rather be supported even in older versions.

    Socket 998B rPGA

    3rd generation will work, but I care about the second, can it?

    Why? 3rd generation is better.

    G580 when changing Celeron B830> to Core i5-3230m, motherboard Emerald Lake 2, HM76 chipset will work Intel AThief ... that is after 30 "min power will be turned off> OFF.
    CPU compatible link
    The cooling system is under the 2nd generation cpu.

    Most efficiently fits i5- 24?? - (Sandy Bridge)
    * i3-2328M CPU @ 2.20GHz / BIOS LENOVO 44CN45WW
    * 62CN34WW
    - i7- .. not really, the DC-DC cooling and supply system is not provided for them

    read with understanding, do not try to Link_ forums.lenovo

    Apart from the CPU, graphics performance (soldered into the board) has a significant impact on performance (e.g. in games)> e.g. NV410M
    or
    In a more powerful CPU> "stronger_ better" embedded graphics> new drivers, ....
    There is no major difference between i3 and i5 >> except you have Turboboost on the i5
    * when do you use it?
    * how does this relate to the cpu purchase price?
    sometimes the purchase price will exceed the value of the laptop ( ' :D ')
    ** aaha the issue of built-in RAM controller 1333MHz (Sandy), against 1600 (Ivy)

    The rest in the guide under this series from Lenovo link

    2nd generation because it is about money, besides they are on quite nice performance.

    I prefer i5 than i3 because i5 has 2 cores and 4 threads and I care about it.
    That's why, as you say Lisek, I'll take an Intel i5-2430M SR04W 3.0GHz 35W TDP processor

    If you can confirm if it would be fully compatible then I would be grateful.

    I will use the laptop to mix music on Serato DJ. Unfortunately, the current processor works, but every 10 seconds there is a switch (unacceptable) and cuts off again. I doubt that RAM is 6GB. I would have to check the use of this and that while working on Serato. In total, he will be taken for 18-year-olds and proms so I care about stability (turboboost will be useful, but no picking up)

    This is not playing equipment.

    Of course, later I buy a macbook pro but so far no funds hence this processor replacement. So i5-2430M will do its job?

    i5-2430M (Sandy Bridge) was on Lenovo Z570
    - HuronRiver Platform / LENOVO Emerald Lake chipset HM65
    - LTN156AT16L01 matrix

    The V370 model on the same platform was on the i3-2330M CPU @ 2.20GHz
    Model V570> the same platform> 2nd Gen Intel i5-2430M

    7x chipset supports 3gen and 2gen but it is better to take newer.

    edit
    I was just surprised what you want 2gen or 3gen for a similar price.

    Do you have another way? Only a quad but it's already 300+ zeta.

    Are you sure these scraps are Prock's fault? does not mean temperature or something else?
    Of course, the replacement is still recommended for pentiums.

    No exchange is recommended anyway because there is a gap between this processor and 6GB of RAM.
    After replacing the processor, the paste will be new Windows will be put up so everything will be fine ;)

    I put it in: i3-2370M http://www.cpu-world.com/sspec/SR/SR0DP.html and it works
    I was still checking the SR07V also worked but i5-430m did not want to but it was possible that he was released because I had it on the site.
