    Hello.

I have a problem with my newly purchased Xiaomi Mi 5 in the Prime 3gb / 64gb version
when I connect it to the computer with the original cable everything connects correctly, the phone has a message about the connection, I choose the options for transferring files or transferring photos. I can browse all folders in the device memory without problem, but when I select files (eg pictures) for copying and want to paste them into a folder on the computer, the message "device has stopped working" appears.
I did not install any drivers from xiaomi because I could not find any. At the beginning, with the connection, they wrote that some drivers are installed, but it's probably Windows.
I tried on other USB sockets.
Can I count on your help?

    greetings

The last link is the drivers themselves, the first 2 is the Mi PC suite, for the beginning use the drivers themselves. After connecting, use the scan for hardware changes in the device manager.

After installing pcsuite drivers you should already have on your system. Do you have win7 or 10?
In general, in the device manager you need to find your phone and choose to update the driver and point to your folder.

Win 7. When I turn on the pc suite, I am trying to connect for a while and then a message like this appears:
Xiaomi Mi5 Prime - Issues with Transferring Files to Computer

And when trying to update the drivers in the device manager, there is something like:

A message from pcsuite = you probably have a different ROM than the official distribution.
Start "development options" on your phone -> settings -> About phone-> click MIUI Version several times.
Go to settings -> programming options -> additional settings -> USB options -> search and select MTP.
there may be some deviations from naming because I came back to miui7

The phone is from the official Polish distribution, version: MIUI 9 Global7.8.24 Beta
MTP is enabled in the USB settings
What is the second link for?

(I did not know it would be so complicated)
