    Hello

I am considering purchasing a function generator.
A budget, let's say up to PLN 500. A bit more in justified cases.

I would like it to generate as high as possible, say up to 20 MHz.

At the moment, I am inclined to such a device:
    25mhz-dual-channel-function-generator
Although the tool seems a bit toy to me.

Maybe you can buy a device with a better price / quality ratio in the price range mentioned?
I also considered "hunting" a generator of Polish production on the Allegro.
Maybe this is a better path?
For starters, I wanted to use it for resonance testing in ultrasonic transducers.

Link an interesting wavetek is, although it looks like it requires a little polishing.

From Poland it is only the POF 10 zopan, but I don't know if it's better not to survive.

As for what you showed in the link, I would rather not lose money. Either Zopan or Wavetek as the best deals on the market today. Maybe you could win a pair of gold.

Ultimately, something of the Chinese being arbitrary.

    Hello,

    This wavetek is very interesting.

You can also give an example of this Chinese arbitrary generator.
With Chinese I like the small amount of space which is a big advantage in a cluttered home workshop.

Oh, with the Chinese, I meant the sdg1025 siglent, but it's over a thousand zlotys and with small disadvantages.
Probably something cheaper will also be found in the 800 series, but there the frequency of the rectangle is truncated, and in many cases the sine is for example up to 20M and the rectangle up to 5M is the triangle 300k.

I would ask for this wavetek. Analog, THT technology. The cheapest option, but you definitely need to pamper it gently, because you always need to pamper it, finally rub it with a cloth :D

I once wrote to you to do the movie test of the F2700 frequency meter but like a stone into water.

We prepare our video presentations for popular products to make it easier for potential customers to choose and to facilitate our sales work. Unfortunately, the frequency counter is a very niche product and we do not have time for it as other topics are queuing up.

    OKAY
Probably that is why it is not very popular because the only info that can be found about it is that it does not break so ...

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around selecting a function generator within a budget of PLN 500, with a preference for models capable of generating frequencies up to 20 MHz. Users suggest various options, including the Wavetek and Polish-made POF 10 Zopan, highlighting their reliability. The Victor VC 2002 is recommended for its waveform correction capabilities. The Siglent SDG1025 is mentioned as a Chinese alternative, though it exceeds the budget. The JDS6600-30MHz dual-channel function generator is also proposed as a viable option within the price range. The conversation emphasizes the importance of price-to-quality ratio and the potential for local Polish alternatives.
