Hi everyone. After connecting, the power supply charges normally, correct voltage, etc., stops charging after a few minutes. Where can I look for a problem more or less, and what should I check?
(The LED stops charging, the LED is off, and to start charging again you need to leave the power supply disconnected for some time)

The PSU is connected directly to the battery or is there still some electronics controlling the charging?
    Battery condition checked?

This LED on the power supply or in the device? Is the diode indicating the operation of the power supply or the diode indicating the charging, charging or connection with the device being charged?

the chips are not heating up, the capacitors are also ok. The power supply is connected to the docking station, the robot goes to it and starts charging. The diode is in the power supply and indicates that it is charging or not.

Hello - there is a battery indicator on the vacuum cleaner, please write
as shown by the indicator when charging is stopped.

    Added after 1 [minutes]:

Probably the battery to be replaced.

The vacuum cleaner shows that it is still discharged, it is only after a few operations of disconnecting and connecting the power supply to the power supply that the vacuum cleaner is charged. And so it loads.

Hello - look carefully at the place marked in red if it was there
    something corrected?
What type of vacuum cleaner is it?

Hello. The description shows that the led is not lit, but specify whether the docking station. If you put a vacuum cleaner on the contacts of the station, and what color diode in the robot switch turns on?
Check the plug from the power supply to the docking station. How long have you been using I ROBOT?

I replaced the 100uF capacitor, it was difficult to pull it out, on the other side of the board a piece broke off, but the whole circuit was repaired 100%.

It was about the diode in the power supply, when it goes off in the power supply it is also in the station immediately.
    sq2bnc wrote:

The color of the diode depends on the degree of charge (red) discharged strongly, (orange) medium, (green) charged.

    irobot roomba 630

2-3 years (a lot, the battery has not been replaced even once, but it seems to me that it can still work, because it can do a lot of charged ride)

I had similar charging problems, I thought the charger was broken, and it turned out to be a problem with the battery - there is a charging system in iRobot itself, it checks the condition of the battery, and if it finds a problem, it looks like the power supply is not working properly . You can still try to wipe the contacts with petroleum jelly (from the battery inside, from the docking station), they may have poor contact, petroleum jelly improves it.

How does petroleum jelly improve contact? This is my first time encountering such a solution.

I was surprised myself, when I cleaned the gilded contacts with alcohol (because I thought they were dirty and therefore poorly combined), they started to work even worse, and then I rubbed with petroleum jelly and helped - they connected well. If it was a different metal, I would think it was a matter of corrosion, but gold should not corrode. Maybe it was a weak test ...

Thank you all for your help, I'm closing the topic, the most likely solution to my problem - battery replacement.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around troubleshooting a power supply issue with an iRobot vacuum cleaner, specifically the iRobot Roomba 630. Users report that the power supply charges normally for a few minutes before stopping, with the LED indicator turning off. Suggestions for diagnosing the problem include checking the condition of the battery, inspecting the power supply connections, and ensuring that the docking station contacts are clean. One user noted that replacing a capacitor improved functionality, while another suggested that the battery may need replacement due to its age and performance issues. Cleaning the contacts with petroleum jelly was also mentioned as a potential solution to improve connectivity. Ultimately, the consensus points towards battery replacement as the most likely solution.
