    Hello,

I go a lot in the mountains, unfortunately, it happened to me a few times, so I bought a walkie talkie Baofeng uv-82. I bought this model because on the trail I met a guy who used it and received it very nicely. I already have the equipment, but I am green, I started to search for something on the forum and I know that it has more power than it should, but I am not interested in eavesdropping services, etc. only listening to channels that can legally be listened to in the mountains and broadcast when threatened.

I found this manual here on the forum http://avantiradio.pl/uploads/files/UV-82%20Baofeng.pdf you can tell me before I explore this knowledge, and something feels that it will take a while, and today I am going to the Tatras :) .

Is there a whole list of SQL, TXP, STEP settings, etc. should I set something to the beginning ?, I also found that the public channel is 446, the following link is the frequency
    https://www.elektroda.pl/rtvforum/topic3280758.html#16111762

    for example:
    446.00625
I can enter xxx, xxx how should I enter such a frequency?, and how to remember it?, the same with FM radio how to save the selected frequency ?.

    greetings

In the event of a threat to this baofeng, you can not transmit without a license. You can only listen.

Manual programming, pmr channel list you have. Set the tuning step to 12.5.
The power of broadcasting has nothing to listen to, as you say above.

I understand that the radio can broadcast, but I can not do it because I do not have a license?

You can have a car but you can not drive legally without a license. Same with this radiotelephone. You can have it but you can not talk legally without a radio license. I think it's simple?
