Hello, I have a baofeng uv82. I have the same frequencies as the rest of my friends who own this radio. There is only one difference. For channels 1 2 3 4 5 6 it says CT to the right and for channels 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 it says DCS. Someone told me that this is not a PMR but some factory test channels or something similar. Will the fact that CT and DCS are written not interfere with communication between radios ??? And maybe someone knows how to make these CT and DCS appear there? I have had a radio for several days and this is the first radio I have.

I will add that there are ALL channels 21

First of all - Baofeng UV82, in accordance with applicable law, should not be used in the PMR band (power, replaceable antenna) Secondly, read about CTCSS tones here https://pl.wikipedia.org/wiki/CTCSS Third - answering your question : if the radio is set to the same tones or is completely turned off, it will not interfere with communication between radios. Enclosed is the menu list, please read this.

If you do not have a radio license and do not want to operate in the PMR band, you can buy a personal radio license on Allegro authorizing you to broadcast only on a specific frequency.

    @ cristal2242 - I think you need to explain, not scare :) 73!
