For a long time, 2 versions of the manufacturer's software have been available:
- Ferguson A 253 Combo 20160718 V1.31B1 Without CI + Support (5.4 MiB) - I use this one because the TVSat tuner with the Cyfrowy Polsat CI module works properly
- Ferguson A 253 Combo 20170320 V1.33B1 (5.8 MiB) - for me the version has not worked, because the picture after the update is crashed and often freezes the previously available TV channels without any problems, the tuner is very unstable, the version gives the impression of an early beta, but the manufacturer from it has not changed anything for a long time and probably the tuner has already been put aside.
Restoring factory settings, cleaning the channel list, re-searching - I did.
Some time ago I connected to the Internet, because I wanted to see how YouTube support works, and unfortunately it is a crap, most of the material was unavailable, at the same time a laptop connected to the same link was searching for the entered titles without any problems, I thought it might be a temporary problem, Unfortunately, I tried again recently and most of the material is still unavailable.
Is there any safe alternative workaround for a problem, modification, configuration or software change, codec update? Or is it the fault of the processor and the operating system in Ferguson Ariva 253 Combo?
Another thing:
Concerns the handling of video materials played from pendrive (avi), comparing the image quality of the same file played on the Ferguson Ariva 253 Combo connected medium-class short HDMI to TV, and a pendrive connected directly to the TV on an average flat screen, I get a smooth picture, the material played using a tuner the screen is striking with its lack of fluidity and frame rate - defragmentation, disk space OK.
Maybe someone of you knows a reasonable solution to the above-mentioned problems? (except for the obvious solutions to: watch YouTube from a laptop and use TV for pendrive) - I want to make the most of the (theoretical) possibilities of the Ferguson Ariva 253 Combo.
