Hello, I bought a memory card for the phone Micro SDXC card format, but first I wanted to check its read / write speeds on the computer.
I have a SilentiumPC Regnum RG2W Pure Black case and the motherboard is ASRock H110M-HDV, H110M, DDR4, SATA3, USB 3.0, mATX. On the front panel I have two USB 3.0 inputs, a port for headphones and a microphone and a reader for SD and Micro SD memory cards.
USB, micro and headphones ports work. The problem occurs when inserting the memory card into the reader. The operating system is Windows 10.
After inserting the card, either under the Micro SD port or through the adapter to the SD port, I get a message
Memory card not recognized - Memory card reader does not recognize cards.

I've had a computer for about 6-7 months. Previously, it was the same with other cards, but I didn't pay attention to it, but in the case of the current card, I wanted to check its performance to see if there are any super low abnormalities.

Anyone know the solution to the problem? I tried to search for drivers on the network but the system says they are up to date.

And with which cards did the reader work properly?
In the description for the housing there is information that it is a card sd reader, but nothing is written about sdhc or sdxc cards.
He supposes that's the problem. And no drivers will help here because the reader is connected to the USB port on the disc, which is the same as if it was an external reader inserted into the USB port in the housing.
If you have an SD card somewhere, i.e. with a capacity of no more than 2 G, check if it is read.
If it reads it, check the max 32G card, i.e. sdhc.
If it does not read it, it will be sure that the reader is old and works only with SD cards

There are two slots for memory cards in the housing. One to SD, the other to micro SD. The reader did not work properly with any card. As if some driver for the reader was missing. I checked the 2GB micro SD card now with the same device not recognized problem. The same is done by inserting the card into the SD adapter.

Whether it is a small or a large card is an irrelevant detail at the moment. Internally, the cards are the same.
If you are sure that this 2G card is working, either the reader is broken or badly connected to the motherboard. Check it out.
Another thing is what I wrote above, i.e. card format mismatch.
No drivers will help you because they are unnecessary.
If you can, download some Linux and run it from some USB flash drive and check if it will recognize the cards there.
You can read about the types of cards here.

Maybe up to date, but for what? There is clearly an unrecognized device "hanging". As long as the reader is correctly connected to the motherboard, you need to check what system it is based on and look for drivers from the manufacturer of the controller of this reader. What does the system say about the hardware ID?
