Hello. Some time ago I bought the Lenovo Legion Y520 with i7 7700HQ and GTX 1050. Unfortunately, the laptop was only equipped with 1TB HDD disks and I decided to buy SSD. After reviewing the "internet" the choice fell on the Crucial MX300 M.2 (a free slot on the laptop). Data from the page of lenovo agreed with the disk specification. And here the problem appeared. After mounting the drive to the laptop, he can not see it. Neither in bios nor in Windows. Where can the problem be ??

Your drive is M.2, but SSD, and the Y520 probably only supports M.2 PCI-E.

    Port M.2 allows:

    1. connecting a disk with sata interface, (AHCI)

    2. connecting the drive with the Pcie interface, (AHCI)

    3. connecting the drive with the Pcie interface and the NVMe protocol. (NVMe)

From the information I could find, the y520 must have a PCI-E drive. A lot of people are struggling with your problem.

Exactly. I bought such a drive so that there was no problem, and here ... zonk. I took the disk from Komputronik so there will be no problems with the return. What disk will work?
