    Hello
I am trying to buy a ssd for the LAPTOP LENOVO G50-70 laptop. The reason for this purchase is simple: the original drive has died. I did a little research and finally got lost and I don't know which drive to choose. I was considering GOODRAM 240GB MX300 / GOODRAM IRDM 240GB and Crucial MX500 250GB. I wanted to make it within PLN 250 or even PLN 200, but as I saw it is hard to fit. I would like to add that I use the laptop every day to browse, watch movies and play various games that the laptop is able to pull. If you have any disk suggestions or opinions on which of the above is good, I will consider everything, it is important that this disk comes and not turned out to be wasted money. Thanks in advance for any help.

What's this? Crucial makes the MX300 model and GoodRAM makes the CX300 model. The CX300 is not very successful, and neither is the CX200 or CL100. A good disk, but unfortunately slightly exceeding PLN 250, will be GoodRAM IRDM PRO (it is the successor of the successful GoodRAM Iridium model, the badge was actually changed, the rest remained as old as they were). For a lower budget, you can choose GoodRAM IRDM (without PRO). Here you can easily fit below PLN 250.

Once, I had a moment and did some tests on the old Iridium PRO (it will probably have the same results as IRDM PRO) and IRDM without PRO, you can take a look:

I didn't have the MX500. The MX500 is the successor to the MX300. The MX300 itself was OK for standard use. The only downside to these drives (MX300, MX500) is the TLC memories. It is true that, despite such memories, these drives work quite well. Samsung EVO can also be checked in a similar class. Also TLC but reasonably sensible.

Taking into account my greater attachment to technologically older (and better) MLC bones, I would choose between the IRDM models :)

With this "GOODRAM 240GB MX300" is a fact my mistake, but it is caused by this confusion in my head :)
If I had to choose the slightly more expensive one, this one:

    whether :
    -http: //www.goodram.com/product/product/ssd-irdm-pro/
I do not hide they are similar :) And I also think in some time it can make a pc for strictly gaming (for about 2k but I do not know yet whether from stimulants or new equipment), so it would be more profitable to buy it up to PLN 250 for a laptop and then invest in a pc even stronger.
Unless you recommend adding the PLN 50 and buying this more powerful PRO for a laptop and having something specific by adding a little money.

It all depends on what you are doing on this computer. With standard use, both drives will work fine. The PRO version is supported by a five-year warranty, while when it comes to cheap drives, I have already bought a lot of non-pro versions and I have no problems with them.

This 5-year warranty would probably appeal to me more if I had to buy this PC drive and play it all the time, etc. where its performance would be worth its weight in gold. But I will decide to buy a drive without PRO due to the analysis of your advice and the fact that it is only for a laptop and this drive will probably pull games that this laptop can bear until you assemble a reasonably good PC. Then the more flaps will be for the lighter ones. using . Also thank you for the advice :)

You will be satisfied, despite theoretically weaker controller it is still a reasonable drive.
