How to blind EGR? It is enough to unclip and plug the control vacuum, or do you need more mechanical?

Hello. And why do you want to blind it? What you describe is almost enough, but it was still necessary to plug the metal pipe going from the exhaust manifold to the EGR.

A few years ago I blinded the Egr Valve. It was true that it was the Alfa Romeo 146, but it will be similar in the Golf. At the inlet to the Egr, between the flanges I put a blanking plug made of about 0.5 mm thin sheet metal. Since then I have had no more problems with locked Egrs, the driver did not report any errors either.
