Samsung Galaxy S4 I9506 - Losing Signal in Poor Coverage Areas: Comparisons & Solutions

I bought a Samsung Galaxy S4 I9506 a few days ago and I have a problem with the range. This happens in places where the coverage is poor, but other phones have no problems. Namely:
The phone is on the desk, the screen is locked - it is ok, you can call this phone and the signal goes normally, you can talk, recently I talked for an hour time I walked around the room and it is good. However, when the phone is lying down, without even picking it up - I take it back and it is enough to play for a while, and after about 15 seconds the range is lost and it is very difficult to catch it again, although it is enough to block it again, wait 2-3 minutes and the range returns. It happens every time, I turn it on - I want to send an SMS, the range disappears and I have to go outside the building, wait 2 minutes, then the range will return and no problem. In a city where the range is full the phone also works properly, although in some places it also sometimes loses coverage and every time it loses it you have to wait these 2 minutes and the phone must be locked again, because on the unlocked it is only in the city that the signal will be found again because at home rather no chance. However, as I mentioned earlier, once I make the connection, I can walk around the house and it's ok, when I get down to the basement it starts to interrupt but I go up a few stairs and the quality of the conversation is good.

I have a hard card in PlayU Plus or T-mobile, everything is fine with it, because when I transfer the card to another phone: LG L90, HTC Desire 500, Samsung galaxy J3 2016, the problem does not occur.

On the other hand - inserting a different card into my I9506 there is the same problem as with my card in PlayU.

I will add that the phone searches for a very long time, 3x longer than, for example, LG L90 and in all conditions, whether near or far the transmitter. When I press "search network" this process takes 3 times longer than in LG L90 or Desire 500, I did not try on J3.

In AnTuTu Benchmark v6.2.7 gets 47500 points, (sometimes likes to hang at 99% of the test) ver Android: 5.0.1 (32bit)
CPU model: Qualcomm Snapradgon MSM 8974
Renderer: Adreno 330

What can this be a fault ? Software Something damaged? Does this model have that? Although here I inform that the brother also has I9506 and the problem probably does not occur (I will be able to check it in a week) but the brother is usually every Sunday and has never complained about coverage.

I was on one commission, he told me that these new phones have such that the range is weaker (but I have a newer J3 2016 and it's good) or the motherboard to be replaced, while in the other commission he said that for 70 PLN he can try to fix it but it doesn't give guarantee whether it will succeed and that it has nothing to do with the software.

Oh, in the settings I switched to GSM only and it does not help, I will add that on another LG L90 phone I have in a slot and the internet works normally, there is a speed of 1 to 3MB / s and this does not lose range. Here, when I release the speedtest, it will immediately lose the whole range, and in the field it usually shows within 0.75Mb / s

This is a typical disadvantage of this model, people have complained about it from the beginning. Perhaps the motherboard was damp and tarnished somewhere, you can try to wash in an ultrasonic bath and bake.

It is interesting that if the phone is locked, there is coverage everywhere and me everybody calls normally and does not interrupt the connection, and I just need to unlock the phone and after a while the whole range disappears, how quickly I choose the phone number, it rings, but I can't write a text anymore, so this is probably a disadvantage of this model?
But in places where coverage is stronger, the problem does not occur.
The phone works normally, does not hang, does not slow down, nothing happens except it. I thought something with the software - but since I take it and write text messages in the city, I call, the range does not disappear.
When I drowned LG L90, they said on the website that nothing would be done from this phone (the microphone stopped working), they offered an ultrasound bath for PLN 200, I gave up - I bought an original microphone used together with this plate for PLN 15 and it works already for 1 year. Nothing happens.

And with this Galaxy I don't know anymore, this bath costs a lot.

The price depends on the service. It used to be a very popular procedure and now people don't want to play because that's the price. Ask on other websites because some "websites" have no equipment at all and the phone returns to another website that will do it for half the price. Such cunning as in any industry. Read first or other it helped because there are a lot of similar topics with this model on the web.

The brother has the same Samsung I9506 from the news, and has the same coverage as mine. Maybe, in fact, these models already have such a poor range that they won't receive.

Try to change the mode in the network settings, switch to 3G mode and see if the range will be better.

It improves the phone's state of affairs but for some time
In the no-lte mode it loses range more than on lte. On the lte battery holds much better than in wcdma / GSM.
I have a phone call for 4 years. He's had this problem since I got him. If it loses coverage, it is difficult to restore it sometimes.
He was under warranty on the site and for some time helped although they wrote probably only about the software update.
I had to compare 9505 and the problem did not occur even though the phone was flooded in the pond.
Can you replace the same disc in your phone with one from 9505? In a sense, will the rest fit physically and electrically?

I have the impression that this is a problem with saving energy - it saves too much and loses the network. When you turn on the power saving mode, the problem gets worse. .
I wanted to play other software but for this model there is nothing else sensible in Poland only t mobile.
One would have to experiment with some other alternative but nue wants to ground the phone.

I sold my I9506 because I did not come to an end, I bought LG G2.
This energy saving in Samsung I9506 is bad, because the phone lasted max 1.5 days and it was a 2-year phone, and my new LG G2 purchase is 3.5 years old and the battery lasts 3 days, and has the same components as the I9506. 3days with wi-fi enabled and data transmission without gps, with it 2 days max. Yes, the phone can be discharged in 6h, but the battery goes down very little at night compared to Samsung, so the energy saving rather does not work well, because it is not enough that every now and again the range is lost, the battery on the standby quickly goes out.

Now with LG G2 I have no problem with range, on the minus G2 is a weaker camera, worse music, less sensitive screen, but on the plus battery, range, faster operation.
