Hello! Please identify the item. Hard to read, probably 8104sy1, but can't find anything like that in google.

The element on the board is marked as U6U1, the housing is sop-8. It is located near the front USB socket on the bottom side of the motherboard. Maybe some stabilizer? It does not look like an eeprom, because the pins do not match. In addition, there were 5V, 2.5V voltages on it (possibly 3.3V, but only because of the damaged converter), the mass was not in this place as in a typical eeprom, so I don't know anymore.

In addition, I will ask if anyone knows about buying parts for takigo xbox? It's terribly hard to get a converter, for example, I had to buy replacements. NB669 is still available, but MP8757 is not. I had to buy a replacement in a different housing.

I'm adding a photo with the location of the item.

Hello, it's hard to get somewhere a photo of the motherboard from Ski, but I asked for the chip number and maybe we'll find out what is the only thing I found.

Where did you write about this number? I searched all nooks and crannies, hoping someone would add a CD with good photos, but nothing. The truth is, the patents are repeating, especially on the Xboxes, so maybe that's something that is also in the same place in other versions. The worst part is that I basically read the code from this chip, but google can't find anything.

Thank you very much for the photos! Still, I don't know what this element is and what role it plays.

The only thing I could find was the MCP1612. It looks similar, but I would still have to measure the small parts around the system to be sure.

@ lysy1980 You have access to two such plates, so maybe you have a dose from which you could desolder one? I am happy to buy it back.

I also noticed a burned-out U4D4 chip on the Xbox. Probably about 1V converter. Can someone send a photo or the name of the layout? Mine is blown from the top and it's hard to identify.

On my XBOX One S, the 8-pin IC U4D4 has the marking IAEBG. It is TSOT23-8 package.

"AEB" is the product code for part number MP2161GJ from MonolithicPower.

    2A, 6V, 1.5MHz, synchronous step-down switcher.

    See datasheet (remove the spaces):

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around identifying a component labeled as 8104sy1, located on the Xbox One S motherboard near the front USB socket. The component is marked U6U1 and is housed in a SOP-8 package. Users speculate it may be a voltage stabilizer due to the presence of 5V and 2.5V readings, and it does not resemble an EEPROM. The conversation also touches on difficulties in sourcing replacement parts for the Xbox, particularly converters like the NB669 and MP8757. A user mentions a similar component, MCP1612, and another identifies a burned-out U4D4 chip, which corresponds to the MP2161GJ from Monolithic Power, a synchronous step-down switcher.
