    Hello,
I am looking for information on the PDF filter firing on the Internet when driving out of town. Unfortunately, I encounter often contradictory information, often very general.
I am asking for information on how to burn the filter.
    I am most interested in:
1 firing time (on the internet it is very contradictory (from 5 min - 15 min every few hundred kilometers, up to 1 hour every week!)
2 minimum speed that must be maintained when firing the DPF
3 lowest gear on which I have to drive for the filter to burn out (apparently in some engines on 3rd gear, firing does not activate)
4 I also found that it is not allowed to interrupt the firing of the DPF. I do not understand this statement very much. In the end, there is no control in the car that burning is on. I suspect that it's about not switching off such a hot engine and filter. so you have to wait about 90 seconds after stopping the car to turn off the engine
5 assuming that I am going on a too long section of the route, or turning around on the route (ie reducing the gear, dropping speed, speed) break filter firing and does it have any effect on firing when after a while I will be returning home continued to burn the filter? Perhaps in point 4 is it about interrupting?

As you have increased idle speed in the city you have firing, just do not extinguish the car until they do not come down to 800. At least in me in Touran this is how it burns like 700km.

the general rule is to drive in the exhaust right temperature to burn soot - that is normal driving with the fact that at a little higher speed but without exaggeration - do not ride in this time like a taxi driver - 850 - 1000 turns only within 2 - 2, 5,000 Rather, you should not interrupt the process because at the time of firing you need a higher temperature and blow out of the pipe, but a temporary stop will not hurt anything until you exhale hot. As far as kilometers are concerned, various producers give. I do not care too much about it, and when my wife got the engine out of town, I will "burn the pipe" after a while and it's ok.
    Greetings

Even outside of the city, you do not know DPF when it burns out. You can read the data about firing with the diagnostic tester, the number of km from the last burnout, the amount of fuel consumed, the amount of soot, ash, etc ...
If there is no more oil (which is very important only oil low saps) and you do not interrupt the cycle when you stop it, sleep well

Thank you all for the answers,
I mentioned the problem, because somewhere I read that during firing the engine controller changes the way the fuel is fed (I do not remember exactly how) and it just gave me peace - under which conditions this firing turns on - this knowledge would give me the possibility of optimal firing DPF
