Hello,
I am looking for information on the PDF filter firing on the Internet when driving out of town. Unfortunately, I encounter often contradictory information, often very general.
I am asking for information on how to burn the filter.
I am most interested in:
1 firing time (on the internet it is very contradictory (from 5 min - 15 min every few hundred kilometers, up to 1 hour every week!)
2 minimum speed that must be maintained when firing the DPF
3 lowest gear on which I have to drive for the filter to burn out (apparently in some engines on 3rd gear, firing does not activate)
4 I also found that it is not allowed to interrupt the firing of the DPF. I do not understand this statement very much. In the end, there is no control in the car that burning is on. I suspect that it's about not switching off such a hot engine and filter. so you have to wait about 90 seconds after stopping the car to turn off the engine
5 assuming that I am going on a too long section of the route, or turning around on the route (ie reducing the gear, dropping speed, speed) break filter firing and does it have any effect on firing when after a while I will be returning home continued to burn the filter? Perhaps in point 4 is it about interrupting?
