    Hello!

For several weeks, maybe months in the car, you can hear "dry" knocks. They come from the right front suspension from the upper part of it. This sound appears at random moments both while driving and when moving the steering wheel itself. It always appears at the maximum turn. I am writing because both mcphearson struts have been completely replaced, and the problem has not been changed. In addition, the stabilizers have traveled about 6-8 thousand km, the right wishbone is new, the left articulated joints and the pin have been replaced. Today I decided to replace the column bearing, had a defect ... the inner ring was pressed deeper than the outer ring and after dismantling it was clear that the outer edge was broken as if someone were hitting it with a hammer. Test drive? Continue to listen to the knocking. I didn't even have to leave ... I have to replace the left end of the stick and you can hear it knocking and from where, but on the right side it is a completely different d sound and place. I also tried to undercut the rubber under the plate mounting the shock absorber in the body.

    Thank you for your help

    Best regards.

Check the power steering gear. It may be loose.

Regeneration or buying a new one? What is more profitable both economically and qualitatively?

I don't know, this problem awaits me in Honda too. Regeneration costs around PLN 700-1000. I don't know the new one.
