    Hello,

I am asking you for help in finding out the problem.

    Longer description:
Two weeks ago I bought a Peugeot Boxer 3.0 on the spot, after a cursory inspection, the car looked fine, the check engine light was on, but it was okay in the city. When returning, on the route, the car had a problem to enter more than 3100 rpm, so probably safe mode. The car the next day after arrival (it was ok at the time of purchase) had a problem to ignite, only after turning the keys 2-3 times slowly it ignited. He went to the mechanic.

    Shorter description (continued)
    Diagnostics showed:
P0335 - crankshaft position sensor circuit - malfunction
P0340 - Camshaft position sensor circuit - malfunction
P0111 - air temperature sensor circuit - incorrect signal value range
P0101 - flow meter circuit MAF lb VAF - incorrect range of the signal value
    P0601 - ROM memory - engine driver
For the moment, there was also an EEPROM error, a checksum error

In addition, after removing the motor driver, 4 pins were left inside, the mechanic suggested trying to lead the pins outside, before replacing the entire computer, I made a bypass, on Thursday the driver will be inserted and we'll see what happens.

However, one thing bothers me, the driver that is inserted has the numbers 0281015578 (51900702), the internet says that it is a driver for the 2.3 engine, while my Peugeot has a 3.0 engine. Now a few questions

    1. Could the P0601 and EEPROM error be related to incompatible computer with this engine?
    2. Can the P0601 and EEPROM error be related to a sloppy immobilizer disabling or uploading wrong "maps" etc?
    3. As I understand, the computer was replaced by the previous owner (who says he doesn't know if there was a computer replacement), how do you find out what ECU should be there originally?
    4. Is there a chance to find a list of pins somewhere, for which damaged pins are responsible?

When the pins fell out of the driver, in my opinion, leading them outside is pointless, a bit carving.
Call the service, they will tell you what number the driver should have. Buy a second one on the Allegro with a connector and replace the damaged female pins.
The whole starter kit (controller, comfort module and key) would be the best in your case, because it's hard to say what was buried in the eeprom.
Then, the highest will be the DPF service cutout, if someone cut it mechanically ;)
And didn't you think you would return the car to the seller?

Not really, because there will be circuses, because it's based on Fiat, the driver itself and the training to be done.

The cable bypass in the controller allowed for the removal of faults:
P0335 - crankshaft position sensor circuit - malfunction
P0340 - Camshaft position sensor circuit - malfunction

Thanks to this, the boxer is no longer in safe mode.
I bought Lexie, entered the module and there is information that the computer program is for the 3.0 engine, so maybe it will not be replaced.

However, another problem appeared, the immobilizer error.
Sometimes you have to put the key in and out several times to make the padlock on the board disappear.

    Any leads?

Hello, I do not know if I am in the right thread, it is also about errors in my Peugeot Boxer 3.0 hdi 160, with a warm engine at low speed, it works unevenly after connecting to the computer, it showed an error P0340, i.e. the sensor of the camshaft setting. I replaced the sensor and without changes, the revolutions continue to change at idle. please give me some advice

There is only one advice, go to a workshop recommended in your area. From damage to the controller connector, through the harness, to a mechanical failure, you have a whole range of options.
