    Hello,

I have a problem and I can honestly lose patience ...

A3 downloaded from the US problem with lamps in the front ..

    old lamp: 8V0941005B
    new lamp: 8V0941031

Both Bi-Xenon except that the new lamp is richer with AFS and has an additional reflector for cornering lights

Problem after connecting plug & play

Only short lights, daytime running lights, parking lots, direction work.

Leveling doesn't work, and long ...

The problem with the pins in the lama ... apparently the cables go differently ... I can't damn find the cube pattern for these new lamps (and production is 2012 so it went in A3 from the beginning of production), can anyone have a diagram?
The second thing with the old lamp went 4 pins to the leveling module, and in this EU only 3 ... And also zonk ... Who did anyone?

Thanks, unfortunately there are no colors inside, all cables are black.
    AFS doesn't have to work, I don't care ...

It's all about leveling the lamps ...

There was a plan with a veil, you only need to remove the lamp, and this is already at the weekend.

    Thanks,

Actually, there is no whip that will work ... I ordered lamps with leveling only ... Because there is nothing to do in print making

    @ Falubaz1 doing AFS would be a feat :D

    Hello, heats up the topic.
I mean coding lamps front and rear USA-EU in 8V 20018. Coding or rather adaptation in this model. Features a lot, most in German.
Was somebody doing Can anyone share knowledge. Thanks in advance.

Simply writing. After the wiring diagram, check which cube on which pin you have the exit to the bulb you are interested in. When describing the channels there is e.g. C 23 or C pin 23 from bcm. With this shortcut you have e.g.
given BLK meaning German from blinker. If you catch it, the rest is as simple as building a flail.

    Added after 1 [minutes]:

This is hopelessly described in vcds. Odis is much clearer

Thanks vwaudi. Let's say I got some. I was able to turn off the directions in the flap when pressing the stop but with side problems I have a problem. It is not so easy.
I also don't know how to bite at the moment.
I made the left direction in the rear mudguard so that when I press the brake, the direction flashes for a moment, and if I want to do the right side, the left turns on and back.
I upload a video how it works.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around the conversion of front lamps in an Audi A3 8V from US specifications to EU standards, specifically addressing the issues encountered when replacing the old Bi-Xenon lamp model 8V0941005B with the new model 8V0941031, which includes Adaptive Front-lighting System (AFS) features. Users report problems with lamp functionality, including only short lights and daytime running lights working, while leveling and long lights do not function. The main challenges include differences in wiring and pin configurations between the old and new lamps, with suggestions to use a multimeter for continuity testing and to adapt the wiring accordingly. It is noted that AFS requires proper leveling functionality to operate, and users are seeking wiring diagrams and coding solutions for successful adaptation.
