Hi. One time, the turbo began to cut off, the car went into emergency mode, lost power and white smoke flew from the back. The mechanic said turbo. I changed the turbo - the power came back with one problem. There are days when I enter the emergency mode again, the car loses power completely - it often happens when I let go of the gas / stop. Engine reset, I will drive a bit and again .. Then suddenly a dozen days comes, when it is totally ok, full power, acceleration and everything as it should. On the computer he showed me P2279. Maybe it is a flexible hose somewhere from the inlet, which once goes well and once so that the air can escape some leak?

The second thing. I wanted to go chip the car. The tuner wrote to me that it's nice to check EGR and intake flaps beforehand. I don't know anything about automotive electromechanics - so the question is how to check the efficiency of these two elements?

If someone is to recommend a good mechanic from Poznań or from the surrounding area, I am asking for advice.

    Best wishes.

This tuner has a dynamometer? If so, he will diagnose the car himself before changing maps, unless he is a bouncer. Unless there is no dynamometer, this is the second option.

I planned here. Well, but in front of the chip, however, I would rather understand what this leak.

So they have dynamos. You would have to mumble in the inlet with the computer closed and a view of the current parameters. For quick assessment of these components, all you need is dynamic logs that can be controlled from under the dignoscope and physical observation of the reaction. Start by looking carefully at the arrival. The error can also be caused by a problem with the variable geometry of the turbine or its control.

Yesterday the mechanic said it could be n75. I was looking for this sensor in an Opel store and intercars and I can't find it. I know this is a turbine vacuum sensor and I found something on the intercars for 270 gross, but I don't know if this is it. Could someone more in the subject send a link to this part in an Opel store or intercarsie or some other store? I saw something on the Allegro for PLN 100 but I don't think I trust it.

This is not a sensor but a solenoid valve to control variable turbine geometry. I don't remember how in this engine but it happens that there are two the same valves controlling different functions and they can be replaced to check if it is working properly. If you want to buy it rather a stimulant because new original ones are very expensive and substitutes if they already exist are the same lottery as stimulants.

And if I can ask you - if you find a moment, would you locate this solenoid valve at an Opel / Intercarsie store?

According to catalog ENT830025 or 7.01420.02.0
It is safest to read the numbers from the current valve and select a replacement based on them.
In your place I would change for a moment even from another car because no one will give you a guarantee that it is just this wine, so if it turns out that it will not help, however, it is a waste of money.

haha :D Seriously - I thought it was PLN 300. And the original probably above 500?

Unfortunately, I don't know the ASO prices. This valve is just one of the suspects, a leaky hose behind it can also cause such symptoms. Was the vacuum measured?

Unfortunately, we didn't measure any pressure. The mechanic looked at the intake system and did not notice any hole .. The strangest thing is that the last 2 weeks I have no problems - the car is going very well. But, for example, when I was going to the graves it was a tragedy, it still cut off the turbo and I had probably 15 horses in this car. I did the engine reset, it was good for a minute and it fell into emergency mode again. Now this problem does not occur. No random overall.

You were more like a fairy than a mechanic :) Almost every mechanic has a familiar familiarity where he has a system that takes parts and if he doesn't like it, he gives back without any problem. This is very useful in cases where without changing parts it will be hard to find the culprits.

And these valves that you sent me will be ok quality or is it rather a lottery?

They should work, in case there is still a guarantee ... Replacement like any replacement, do not expect miracles.

I have a Zafira B 1.9 DTH. I also struggled with P2279 for over a month. Removing the flaps from the manifold did nothing, as well as removing and sealing it, cleaning the EGR, throttle, etc. The culprit of all the confusion was the DPF pressure sensor cable shot through which the DPF did not burn out and clogged so that after replacing the hose, the pressure difference was over 80 kPa, i.e. 800 mbar. Cleaning the DPF with a home-made method with a pressure washer helped. DPF parameters as new. All errors are gone. I recommend replacing the original hoses with those from FMIC because they are several times cheaper and better

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around an Opel Astra H GTC Z19DTH experiencing intermittent turbo cut-off and entering emergency mode, indicated by error code P2279. The user replaced the turbo but continues to face power loss, particularly when decelerating or stopping. Suggestions include checking for air leaks in the intake system and assessing the EGR and intake flaps before chipping the car. A potential issue with the N75 solenoid valve, which controls the variable geometry of the turbo, is also mentioned. Users recommend verifying the vacuum system and replacing faulty components, with one sharing a similar experience with a Zafira B 1.9 DTH, where a DPF pressure sensor cable was the culprit. The importance of using quality replacement parts is emphasized.
