    Hello,

I need help with Opel Meriva A 1.6 16V 2003. The problem concerns the inoperative 2nd speed of the radiator fan. The error read is P1482 - Fan Relay 2 Signal Low / Open Circuit.

The problem is complicated because when I do executive tests using opcom, when I try to run 1, everything works correctly - the ECU sends mass to the relay coil from gear 1, when I try to run 2, the ECU fan sends mass to the relay coil from gear 2, but no sends the mass to the relay coil from 1st gear (according to the logic should). I have a diagram, I have the logic of the relays and I do not know what is wrong: /
After applying the mass to the relay 1 during the test of 2nd gear - the fan works!

Request for help. Thank you in advance for your help.

This is a typical faulty driver (ECO) error.

I think it shouldn't, the second gear relay is feeding power directly to the motor, bypassing the first gear resistor.

As a standard, the connection between the electronics and the connector (wire bonding) is damaged there. Only then there would be no connection at all. Here, evidently, the mass is sent at the test of 1st gear and at 2nd gear the ECU does not send a signal (to 1 relay). I attach the logic of relays.

The controller measures the connections with the coils of the relays and if there is no connection, the appropriate error pops up (P1481, P1482, P1483, depending on which relay is not reporting).
This error can also occur in the absence of 12 V on pin 86.

the mass is sent in 1st gear and in 2nd gear the ECU sends no signal (to 1st relay).

Is it really so, then the voltage at pin 6 of each relay should be measured.
I don't know all the functions of the opcom, but it seems to me that the relays can be tested individually, but not two at the same time (which is required in this case).
