    Hello
I have a question about the Electrolux EDP12074PDW dryer. Recently I bought such a dryer and I noticed that when removing this larger bottom filter after each drying, water collects in the bottom filter, directly on the filter blades, which are set horizontally (after removing this filter and turning it to a vertical position, water drops out, not much, but it flies out), there is also water at the end of this chamber, from which I pull out the bottom filter at the vertical wall at the end there is such a recess and water collects there and there is already a lot of it.
Please let me know if this is normal for this dryer or if my dryer is simply damaged.

Thank you in advance for your response.

Do you have a level dryer? As is the cavity, it is normal that water collects in it, but on the other hand it should not be because all the water should flow freely towards the pump. A small amount of water on your "filter", as you pull it out immediately after drying is normal.

The dryer is level. So enlighten me a little, as the dryer dries, the water comes out and flows into this channel at the bottom, which is in the bottom filter chamber at the back and from there it should be completely drained into the water container, I understand? If it works differently then correct me. This water does not spill anywhere, but all the time it is in that channel, if I put my hand in this channel, the water is there with 2 cm maybe a little more, should it be or should it be drained into the tank?

"There should not be enough water to check the level sensor and condensate pump :) "
Sorry, but I misunderstood your entry, if there is condensate in the back of the tray then there is nothing to worry about :)

But the dryer should work so that the water collects at the bottom of the filter in the channel and then it should be drained to the container up? Shouldn't there be any water down there? Should it be immediately discharged into the container upwards without the bottom?
Maybe these questions seem strange to you but I am a layman in these matters, so please be understanding

And the upper condensate tank fills up? If it fills, the sensor float is probably set so that condensate collects at the bottom and then is pumped up :) If the dryer is working properly, you probably don't need to worry :)

The upper tank is filling up, so I'm not worried at the moment and not attacking the service

If it dries and discharges condensate to the tank, there is nothing to worry about :)

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around the Electrolux EDP12074PDW dryer and the user's concern regarding water accumulation in the bottom filter after drying cycles. The user notes that water collects in the filter chamber and questions whether this is a normal occurrence or indicative of a fault. Responses clarify that some water retention in the filter area is typical, provided the dryer is level and functioning correctly. It is emphasized that the condensate should flow into the upper tank, and as long as the tank fills, there is no cause for concern. The consensus is that the dryer appears to be operating as intended, with the water collection being a normal aspect of its design.
