The Kiano KF10Q tablet does not turn on either on the battery itself or on the connected charger. The battery, after removing the charger, has a voltage of approx. 3.6 V. The charger charges at a voltage of approx. 5.3 V, but it heats up terribly. I am asking for some tips on what to do with it.

The battery is discharged, therefore the tablet cannot start, the heating of the charger indicates a high power consumption. What is the voltage on the battery while charging and is the battery warming up while charging?

The voltage on the battery during charging, if it seems to me well, should be the same as at the charger output, i.e. about 5.3 V. If the battery is warming up, I can't say it, as I can't access it and how to open the tablet I do not know. But I don't feel a very warm tablet outside. Or maybe colleagues will tell you how to get inside?

The charging voltage on the battery should be around 4.25V.

I got inside and measured the voltage on the battery during charging, it is 4.1 V. After a dozen or so minutes. I have touched the battery, it is ice cold but the charger is still very hot. I suspect that it (battery) is dead. Please give me further instructions.

Already slowly this miracle begins to come to life. It already "catches" the capacity and the power supply seems to heat up less. Hope it returns to normal. Thank you to everyone, buddy, for advice and close the topic.

Topic summary

The Kiano KF10Q tablet fails to power on, either from the battery or when connected to the charger. The battery voltage measures approximately 3.6 V, while the charger outputs around 5.3 V but overheats significantly. Users suggest that the battery may be deeply discharged, and the charger’s heating indicates high power consumption. After opening the tablet, the battery voltage during charging was found to be 4.1 V, and the battery itself remained cold. Following advice to leave the tablet connected to the charger for an extended period, the device began to show signs of recovery, with improved charging capacity and reduced charger temperature.
