    Good morning everyone.

If someone wants to read all of this, I am asking for help.

I have (I think) quite a lot of knowledge about computers in general, but I have never dealt with computer networks and related issues.
I just never needed it until ... until now.
I will write right away that before I decided to write here, I browsed dozens (if not hundreds) of websites about IP cameras and how to connect them, but ..... I'm either stupid, or all guides are written by professionals, but ... for professionals.
As is commonly known, professionals do not need such guides for anything, and amateurs do not help in anything.

    But to the point:

I bought an IP camera (Dahua A35).
The webcam works beautifully in the local network as well as there is no problem with access to it via the cloud from anywhere outside the network.
Access via the cloud is admittedly hassle-free, because no one needs to know anything to receive an image from the webcam (just create an account as in the case of an e-mail), but ... as a penalty, a broken connection every now and then, or the inability to fully camera control.
That is why I wanted to connect to the camera not via the cloud, but like most, i.e. normally by typing the appropriate address into the web browser, but not in the local network (at home where I have a computer and a camera), but from the outside, i.e. while on vacation somewhere.

I combine all the ways described in the guides and ..... nothing, i.e. if I couldn't connect to the webcam, I still can't.

I'm probably doing something wrong, but ... well ..... I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

Below this writing, a screenshot of the router menu.
If someone kindly would like to help with filling in the appropriate fields in this menu, I will be obliged, and I can help in the field of CAM / CAD, CNC machining, graphic programs.

The cloud provides full and stable access to the image and camera control, so it's not a problem. First of all, I focus on the signal level or interference in the wireless network. The more so because I set up such cameras and the client does not complain about their operation through the cloud.

    @jimasek

Thank you for the quick response, but:

In my case, the signal level or interference in the wireless network is almost zero, because the webcam is also about 50 cm from the router.
In addition, I also connected it to the router via an Ethernet cable and the effect when connecting via the cloud is the same, i.e. as I wrote previously.
Just a moment ago I tried to connect again through the cloud and ..... tragedy, which is basically a lottery, so either it goes pretty well, or ... nothing at all ..... no transfer.

Nevertheless, I read another (found somewhere) tutorial about port forwarding and ... it worked :) , i.e. I connect via external IP + separate port for the webcam.
The camera finally works as it should, and in addition, practically without lags at FullHD resolution and 25 frames / s.
It is true that it is the same sometimes in the cloud, but ... only sometimes, and in the case of direct connection, it is always good.

For all this, I read somewhere (quite extensive) description of connecting via DDNS and ...... I also managed to get the proverbial kick :)
It is true that free DDNS accounts (such as NO-IP) do not offer automatic external IP refresh in the case of dynamic IP and you have to do it manually or every 30 days, but ..... it's enough for me.

If someone had a similar problem to mine, there is a screenshot at the end of this post with a description of what and how to do it.

The description applies to the Router / Modem that UPC provides with the service, namely the Compal CH7465LG-LC model.
In my case, the router was set by default to support the IPv6 protocol and in this mode, unfortunately, port forwarding is not possible.
There is simply no corresponding menu in the router interface, so IMPORTANT:

Before you do anything, you need to call UPC and ask to switch the router (they will do it remotely) to work with the IPv4 protocol.
Only then will the appropriate options appear in the router's interface, i.e. the possibility of port forwarding and other things that were not there before.

I am writing it all from the layman's standpoint when it comes to computer networks, so I am only describing what I did to connect to the webcam.
Perhaps there is an easier way (which I do not know), but what I did works and that's enough for me, so if someone has the above-mentioned Router and Internet with UPC, the picture below should help him.

Thanks for the topic and its explanation.
    Works fine from the shot.
Of course, it depends a bit on the type of camera and software, but the preview performed this way works fine in my case. FTP image snapshots / traffic detected / and e-mail also work, which is the most important thing for me.
    Thanks again
