    Hello,

I am looking for a solution with some small light switch in the room.

The point is that I am inserting a new cabinet, which is about 10 cm longer than the current one and will cover practically the entire recess.
There will be 4 cm between the wardrobe and the door frame, which I marked with black lines in the photo.
The wall is made of plasterboard

    1) An ideal solution would be to insert a small, 4 cm switch between the frame and the wardrobe. Are there any solutions that look nice? You can even stick a switch (I can connect the power cables somehow).

    2) A worse solution is to find a recess in the door frame on a normal size contact.

    3) Probably even worse is to cut a hole in the wardrobe and make a switch there ...

If anyone can suggest a nice little switch, I will be very thankful.

The switch from the lamp or the cabinet is also small .. eg for kitchen under-cabinet lighting

If I understand you correctly, take him to the "hall"?
This switch (original) is already in an unfortunate place, near the door on the hinge side (this is how I perceive it from the photo) and taking it outside will create more trouble than now.

    Maybe such:
    Legrand Mini Series

    Dimensions 32mm wide, 75mm long, 31mm high.

Does the fact that this switch is unipolar make any difference?
I want to use it as a normal power switch.

You will be able to switch on one circuit. It is suitable for switching on the lighting.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around finding a compact light switch solution for a tight space between a new cabinet and a door frame in a plasterboard wall. The user seeks a 4 cm switch that can be aesthetically pleasing and functional. Suggestions include using a small switch for under-cabinet lighting, relocating the existing switch to the opposite wall, or considering a recess in the door frame. A specific recommendation is made for the Legrand Mini Series switch, which measures 32mm x 75mm x 31mm. The user inquires about the implications of using a unipolar switch for standard lighting control, to which it is confirmed that it can effectively switch on a single circuit for lighting purposes.
