Hello, I have a problem with Renault Megane II, after inserting the card into the reader, the lights come on, the lock is unlocked, the car does not respond to the button. After attaching the clip, 0 errors. When I insert the card into the reader, the red diode from immo lights up for a few seconds and goes out. 2 cards working - checked. Is it blocked?

It is very possible that the UPC in the engine compartment has turned green on the connectors.

I had that in another Megane, then there was a Christmas tree in the clip, no mistakes here.

It does not react to the button in the sense that the ignition turns on, but the starter does not react. Clip connects seamlessly.

Tap the hammer handle on the starter and someone will push the start, maybe it?

And what about the clutch or brake sensor?

Megane will fire in two variants, i.e. in gear with the clutch depressed or in neutral with the brake depressed. press the button and hold it. Maybe the 'claw' in the reader broke, although it is the domain of the lagoon. You can briefly check the starter. In bsm under the hood, look for a 4-pin plug (if I remember correctly it is 3 white and 1 brown or green) there, give a plus through the fuse to be sure. It is second from the shore next to brown or green. It goes from the bsm directly to the starter. Alternatively, you can fire on the push, this way you will eliminate the starter.

Connect with UCH - commissioning, driver parameters and you will see all the parameters that interest you.

There are no micro switches in Megane, y in the pocket, all by card detection.
The author will turn the starter briefly and check if it lights up.

Did he check the fuses in BSM?

Topic summary

✨ The discussion revolves around a starting issue with a Renault Megane II, where the car does not respond to the start button despite the ignition lights activating and the lock unlocking. The immobilizer light briefly illuminates, and no errors are detected when using a diagnostic tool. Suggestions include checking the UPC connectors for corrosion, tapping the starter to see if it engages, and verifying the functionality of the clutch or brake sensors. It is noted that the Megane can start in gear with the clutch depressed or in neutral with the brake depressed. Additionally, checking fuses in the BSM and ensuring proper card detection are recommended troubleshooting steps.
