    Hello
After replacing the seats in the Mercedes W204 the Airbag indicator is lit, the passenger detection mat is a problem. I will add that before the replacement everything was Ok but the new seats are from the w205 model which was also Ok. And the old ones have been replaced so I don't have an old mat.
I know, I hurried up a bit but the errors were to be easily deleted at the Star Diagnostician. So I bought and connected the second mate from Mercedes W204 after disconnecting the cubes, everything clears nicely, but unfortunately the mat error returns again (front right malfunction consult workshop). Maybe someone has already fought the mat and can suggest something wise. just don't leave ASO. I will add that neither mat can be adapted. The Star Diagnostik cannot see any module.
    greetings

    The mat emulator should help.

Emulators only support W203 and the first W204 year because it runs on the same modules. There are no emulators that work with Mercedes W204 above 2008.
After that, he wants to solve the problem and run mate, not fool the ECU

You have to undress and visually see if anything has broken.

I undressed because I had to replace my mate, I checked my ankles, everything Ok. But I found such a topic about the crash driver: https://www.elektroda.pl/rtvforum/topic2962776.html
Only he doesn't tell the guy too much how he solved the topic, what driver or module, whether he replaced or uploaded. Gentlemen, no one had a similar problem.

VEDIAMO should help in coding the SRS for the lack of a mat.

I note that the author wants to fix the fault and not mask it. I want the mat to be and work.

In 204 it had (or actually still has) a paging action to replace SRS controllers. Check - maybe your car is also subject to catch up on a new one.

Hello, gentlemen, after a short break, I fought a little bit about the subject, I checked the fuses, the cubes, the transition to the module, but there is nothing to cling to everything factory-wired. Maybe somebody has some scheme with SRS system. maybe someone knows what to check on the output in the cube under the chair is to be voltage resistance. Please, if anyone has access to the schematics, share a piece about the safety system.

    Hello
I close the topic, the problem is resolved.
Thanks to the "Noc" user from the Mercedes forum,
which helped me solve the problem in two moves.
I would say Shah and Mat without unnecessary philosophizing.
Thanks again and Greetings to Mr. "Night"

For posterity who will fight the mat, I will say that you will save a lot of problems and money if you do not listen and go to Blacksmiths who bought Chinese Xsentry and try to tear hay without any knowledge.
I bought two mats and one of them from a new armchair, in addition, each of the pseudo specialists still connected his mate and insisted that it was a problem with communication or adaptation of the mat, I almost got into the replacement of SRS modules.

But once again briefly: not every Mercedes W204 mat fits every W204 model and certainly it is not a problem with the adaptation if there was no accident or short circuit or too many Blacksmiths.
Mr. "Night" on the basis of my VIN showed me the number of the mat that will work in my car. And that's how the mat with the parcel was purchased for around PLN 150. solved the whole problem. What was my surprise when after connecting the mat and turning on the ignition the red pillow light went out on Amen, there was no need to even reset errors.

Still, my good advice do not play any emulators because first there are no emulators for the Mercedes W204, and secondly it is not worth it if for this price you can buy a used mat and have a fully functional system on which the lives of your loved ones depend. If you are struggling with the mat, you should also check the fuses that are responsible for the SRS system. And in the yellow cube from the mat under the armchair with three pins you can check the weight is on one and the voltage + 12v to +15 on two after turning the ignition is roughly hopefully useful

    greetings

Topic summary

After replacing the seats in a Mercedes W204 with those from a W205, the airbag indicator was activated due to issues with the passenger detection mat. The user attempted to clear the error using the Star Diagnostician but faced persistent mat errors. Suggestions included using a mat emulator, which is ineffective for W204 models post-2008, and checking for physical damage to the wiring. The user later discovered that not all W204 mats are compatible, and the problem was resolved with the help of a forum member who provided the correct mat part number based on the vehicle's VIN. The discussion emphasized the importance of proper diagnostics and compatibility when dealing with SRS systems.
