    Hello,
I have a question for mechanics who know the F4RT engine from top / bottom :) . I go to such an engine - the symptoms are knocking at idle speed, which increases with the increase in revolutions. It seems to me that the noise comes from above and it is the fault of the damaged pusher, but to get there, you need to unfasten the timing and take apart a bit :) There is also an option for the bottom - the acetabulum.
I think I'll start at the bottom, the oil is gently dripping from under the bowl, so it will be removed for sealing anyway. Now the question:
Will I have access to the connecting rod shells and their possible replacement by removing the oil pan?

When you remove the bowl, you will have access to the sockets. What is the mileage of this engine. Do not accidentally knock on a loose pin on the connecting rod head. Measure your oil pressure with a pressure gauge.

I will have the car after Christmas or after the new year, then I will measure the pressure.
The engine has flown over 350,000. The knocking occurs apparently for over 4,000 km (the acetabulum would probably be over after such a time?) Quieter on the cold, louder on the warm.
jerry1960 tell me more about this pin - have you had any case?

With this mileage, everything is possible, A broken connecting rod head can cause a knock, to diagnose this you have to pull the piston with the connecting rod out of the sleeve.

The pusher turned out to be damaged.
