Hi, I need help. I usually do backups during the holidays and yesterday I remembered my old phone - LG L Fino. It lay unused since September 2016. I just wanted to plug it in and rip files from the internal memory.

First, I connected it to charging and the battery symbol and 0% appeared. I waited an hour, plugged it into my laptop and ... nothing. Black screen. No reaction, of course the computer doesn't see him. I plugged it into the charging box again and it vibrated a little, as is usual. After a night, I tried to turn it on and then nothing. Interestingly, when I removed its cover to check that the battery was properly inserted, it vibrated again - as if it wanted to turn on.

What to do now? It is possible that the battery has made an absolute kaput and cannot even be charged? And in the case of a battery pad, when connected via USB to a laptop, would it be as described?

By the way - could they copy this data to me on some website? I had all the photos on the memory card, but there is also something in the folders located in the internal memory and I want to recover it :(

    Greetings.

Hello. Buy batteries, you will download everything because it turns out that it is already to be replaced when the phone was lying for a long time, the battery is dead. Look for batteries for this phone at auctions.

For a while, you can charge the battery outside the phone from the service adapter.
Charging on the phone fails due to current limitation.
Ultimately, the battery to be replaced.

Thanks for the quick replies! I honestly admit that ... a stone from the heart, if it's a battery ;) So one thing puzzles me ... As a hobby, I also have my older phones. Today I also launched the Samsung Galaxy Ace II to check how it is doing. It lies unused since 2014 (during this time I may have turned it on and recharged it twice) and it works normally. I read old texts, I charged it to 100% and it is still in its carton. Therefore, it seems strange to me for the younger and shorter phone to die completely - that is, its battery. I have already checked on the Internet, and you can buy one for PLN 30, so it's not a problem.

And purely theoretically - could it be something other than a battery? According to my reasoning, when connected to USB, the phone gets electricity = it should turn on.

If the battery is dead, it will not turn on.

Okay, got it ;) I have never encountered such a situation before, so I ask.

One last thing: to keep the battery from running out, better remove it from the phone? Fortunately, I have original packaging for my "toys", so it's not a problem ;)

If the phone is not to be used, yes, of course. But it doesn't hurt to top it up every now and then.

I am coming back because the problem has unfortunately not been solved :( In a week I bought a new battery, put it in the phone, connected the charger and ... still the same. Initially, the battery symbol and 0% appeared, then no reaction other than vibrating when connecting the cable. So what else could go wrong? : /

The discussion revolves around the LG L Fino, which fails to power on after being unused since September 2016. The user initially connected the phone to a charger, but it only displayed a battery symbol with 0% and did not respond when plugged into a laptop. Responses suggest that the battery is likely dead due to prolonged inactivity, and replacing it is necessary. One user mentioned the possibility of charging the battery externally using a service adapter. After purchasing a new battery, the user still experienced issues, indicating potential problems beyond just the battery, such as internal hardware failure.
