    Hey
I broke the touch id button in ip7 and I wonder if anyone is coping with their repair. At the authorized service, they claim that you need to replace the entire front panel and call 759 PLN. I am also interested in the subject of repairing the U10 exchange, although it does not help me, I am curious if someone is dealing with it. I saw that espares already has an offer to repair an id and someone tried it?

Yes, I do such things, but I download the systems directly from the Chinese, I do not know what espares has on offer ;)

What exactly happened with your Touchid is hard to say, you would have to see it because it may turn out that the cost at an authorized point will not be so terrible ;)

My touch id got lost with the key and crumbled in the corner so it did not work. So what does the touch touch repair thing look like because I read a little caution not to repay it to local services because it will only worsen the case but I am of the opinion that the Pole can do it. I can spend a maximum of PLN 400 for repair

With mechanical damage to the sensor you can not do anything, go to the salon with Apple authorization.

I've searched a little bit on google and it turns out that there are services that offer exchanges for about PLN 300 (in one of them there is a note that the home button will work but I do not touch id) so I am a bit worried about it can I replace it after service or not? One of the representatives of a company assured me that they were already replacing the button at 7 and everything was ok. A bit strange things for me. After the weekend I will go to an authorized service and see what they will tell me

Unfortunately, these sites are 3 by 3 :) In the ip7 / 7plus / 8 / 8plus models it is impossible to replace the TouchID with the HomeButton function.
After replacing it with a replacement or original from another iphone, the Assistive Touch will start and the button will be just a dummy.
Only with authorization is it possible to pair or replace the entire iPhone.
It's a pity your time to drill the topic.

That's what I thought, but I preferred to ask, because in foreign forums everywhere they say that it can not be exchanged. Thanks for the help !

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around the repair options for a damaged Touch ID/Home button on an iPhone 7. The user inquires about repair costs, specifically mentioning a quote of 759 PLN from an authorized service for a full front panel replacement. Responses indicate that mechanical damage to the Touch ID sensor typically requires authorized service intervention, as third-party repairs may not restore functionality. Some users mention alternative services offering repairs for around 300 PLN, but caution that replacing the button may lead to non-functional Touch ID, with only Assistive Touch available. The consensus is that only authorized services can ensure proper functionality post-repair.
