Hello, I just bought a new LG 55SJ800V TV set and I can not connect to the Mag 250 decoder in any way, i.e. after connecting to HDMI 1 and restarting the decoder, loading appears and after a while no signal appears. I would like to point out that the set-top box is working because everything is ok on the old TV, I also called the LG service who said that it was the decoder's fault, while the gentlemen from the cable TV that I have said that it was a TV problem: / butter: /
Maybe someone of you had a similar problem, thank you in advance for your help, best regards.

Unplug all the cables from the tv and reset it too (also reset the decoder to be sure).

This is standard text for everyone - each of them took your money and that's it, the problem is yours.

Unfortunately, in the manual attached to the TV, there is no list of decoders with which it works.

Well, here is probably the problem that this decoder does not work. What type of TV did you have on which the decoder used the old brand?

Yes, this is my 8-year-old TV set from any other country, normally bought in Poland 8 years ago.

I suspect that the only solution to my problem will be to terminate the contract with the TV provider and sign a new one with another.

That would be the best solution.

Or replacing the current operator decoder with a different model.

The cable decoder probably has the old HDCP, tv a newer version of this protocol and such flowers (at one time Cyfra + also exchanged a lot of its set-top boxes, because they did not work with newer TVs through the newer HDCP version on tv).

Unfortunately, replacing the decoder is not an option, as the cable provider knows, only this decoder model is available. As for HDCP, this could be the problem, I read a little bit and puffed my tongue and it looks like the problem to me. In addition, the decoder software version is from 2015. and I have not found a newer one.

I just noticed that by turning on the "HDMI ULTRA HD Deep Color" function on the HDMI 1 output to which the decoder is connected, the image appeared, unfortunately, as it is in the description of this function, it may lead to loss of image / sound with older versions of the decoder for me it is a lack of sound.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around troubleshooting an LG 55SJ800V TV that fails to display a picture when connected to a Mag 250 decoder via HDMI. The user reports that the decoder works with an older LG 42LK450-ZB TV but not with the new model. Responses suggest resetting both the TV and decoder, checking compatibility, and considering HDCP protocol issues. A potential solution was found by enabling the "HDMI ULTRA HD Deep Color" feature, which allowed the image to appear, although it may cause sound issues due to compatibility with older decoders. The user contemplates changing their cable provider if the problem persists.
