    Hello,
I have a LG 42LN5400 TV. I have been using the NC + decoder for over a year now and there were no problems.
Lately daily when I turn on the TV, an information pops up: HDCP copy protection - there was a problem with the HDCP connection
NC + tv decoder LG 42LN5400 - HDCP connection error after turning on the TV .
By following the instructions, the tv will NEVER work properly the first time, I have to struggle a few times before I can finally start watching TV.
It is a bit tiring, especially if your older father or mother is watching TV and they cannot cope with it.
    What could be wrong?
    - The TV set is fairly new

    - connection set-top box - tv via HDMI

It is strange that once everything was ok and at some point it started to pop up, and the next thing is that finally after some time turning on and off the tv and decoder according to the instructions I go and everything is ok until the next turn off the tv :(
    Please help.
    Thank you in advance.

Ok, I found instructions on how to update, but one sentence bothered me:
"Software upgrades include device drivers and firmware upgrades for certain models only. Please check the user manual to see if your product supports upgrades."
Unfortunately, I can't find information about whether my tv supports updates. Secondly, I don't know which soft to download, I don't know, can I break something? Is there Polish or English language? Try with this tv or try to replace the decoder?

SOFTWARE FILE (VERSION 04.18.06), it is soft for your TV, as for the decoder, you can first try to replace it, as this option will not change anything to update the soft on the TV.

    EDIT:

You just need to turn on the online update on the TV.
Often such an update results in the software crashing, it is safer to upload it from a pendrive.

Whether they will replace it depends on the NC + Point, I have it around the corner, so I can easily borrow for an hour to test them, as for TV, there is a Hotline and there you can make sure about the software version, @ they will send the right one and often unavailable on the website ( http://www.lg.com/pl/wsparcie/kontakt-obsluga-klienta).

How should I do it if I don't have such a function in my model, it is not connected to the internet and there is no wifi receiver?

Thanks for the advice, I will try the decoder first and then the soft tv.

Everything works fine. I told my friend about my problem and he advised me to try changing the HDMI cable to another one. It worked. It turns out that it is often worth checking the simplest things first than looking for problems without knowing where.

I think that the topic can be considered closed.
